Hey everyone...if you're still awake, check it out. I'll write as much as I can before I fall asleep.

Storytellers Setlist:

Betterman (Boom started)

Unemployable

WWS

Gone (They sat down for this but it was electric)

Sleight of Hand (Amazing lights on this one..set the mood perfect...still sitting by the way.)

Army Reserve

Insignifigance

Here's to the State of Mississippi ( I was up in the balcony looking over the stage and on the setlist it said "Here's to the state of George W"...Ed changed the lyrics to reflect current politics.)

Alive
After this the band came out and sat in a row on stage and read off questions that fans wrote down before the show. They each had a wireless microphone and Ed passed each band member certain questions to read.

Life Wasted closed it out

Other info: Ed was reading from notes on a music stand between songs; it was about 100 degrees in the club; it was so loud it was amazing.

One last thing: I see people posting that it was weird to play Sleight of Hand
let me just say that this was probably the best performance of this song that they've ever done...it'll really stand out on the television broadcast.

Thank you and good night...see you at Continental.
Hold on to the thread.....

  • only if sleight of hand gets aired, they´ll probably only air 6 songs, and switch the order around as well

I'm willing to bet the band would only do the show if they had the final say on what gets edited out. Let's hope so anyways.

    I hope so.

    Schragermeister: Thanks for the info.

  • They have to fit that whole set with Q&A AND commercials into a 1hr timeframe. Something is getting edited without question.

Not a chance. The band won't get to make editorial decisions.

A great show and my guess is the air date will be around Nov just because of the political/truth nature of the performance. So I would believe the state of GW would make the cut and hopefully Sleight of Hand as well. I agree it was probably one of the best performances of it I have heard....

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.

  • they'll for sure air Betterman and Alive, and probably WWS as well, the other 3 (i suppose), who knows, when the Pumpkins did storytellers they did like 18 songs and only six got aired, including the only 4 "hits" they played
