    I'll just give one more easy hint to you guys can Google and connect the dots on IMDB so we can all move on.

    Holly Hunter, Fisher Stevens and that guy in love with Jennifer Jason Leigh in Ridgemont High are in it and it's the first movie the Weinsteins produced. Oh, and the makeup is done by horror legend Tom Savini.

    Very arty. We're talking French arty.

    It does have a titular monster (of sorts) in it, though. And that titular monster turns the other titular character's tears into diamonds.
