my buddy is at the cubs game tonight; supposedly an announcement was made that ed is singing take me out to the ball game. don't shoot the messenger if it doesn't happen. cheers!
Posted a few minutes ago on Chicago Cubs twitter: Tonight's 7th inning stretch will be led by Eddie Vedder on the same date his friend Ernie Banks hit HR #500 in 1970.
Was great in radio booth for the Cubs long inning. Was excited to hear him say other surprises in store for Thur, not just Who songs. Cant wait for Thur!! Long Cubs innings when they are at bat are great, when Eddie is in radio booth during them, they are even better! !!

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
Though this doesn't come close to Homer Simpson singing this in the infamous "Grimey" episode, I must thank you! Love how Ed dressed up for the occasion too. Good stuff all around.

thank-you Hedo!

It might not be one of Pearl Jam's classic songs, but Eddie Vedder has got "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" down pat.
The Pearl Jam lead singer and Chicago-area native once again led the Wrigley Field faithful in the Seventh Inning Stretch, his latest rendition coming during Tuesday night's Cubs game against the Mets.
Vedder is one of the Cubs' most famous fans, and he's made his fandom no secret. He's even written a song about the Cubs one day winning the World Series, and when Pearl Jam played at Wrigley Field, Vedder sang the song on stage with Ernie Banks.
Vedder honored Banks, who passed away earlier this year, by wearing a No. 14 pin during his Tuesday-night serenade.
Check out Vedder's latest version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" in the video above.
Love when Ed does this and wish I was in town for the show. As a met fan it was the highlight of the game. Ron Darling showed some love on the Mets broadcast which was cool.
That being said. There is infinite Meme potential with the screenshots from this. Just search the Eddie Vedder hashtag on Instagram and have at it.
