PJ has RSD mystery sale to allow some of us to get some vinyl we want without flippers. If they are really concerned about flipping then PLEASE re-release all rare vinyls. Flood the supply side. It is pretty simple if they really want to get us the stuff we want at a reasonable price. Thank you.

Flippers have fast internet connections, so they actually do the flippers a favor with this shitty service they offer.. I bet 80% of the people who manage to get the 2015 TC RSD vinyl package are flippers.. FUCK all this shit.

Yeah, they don't want to sit on inventory either, that is money lost. Limited means they sell it out, the last two albums they upped pressing numbers (I assume), now they are sitting on piles of BS and LB. It is and always will be about $$$$$$$
  • Hey I'm with you, but couldn't you just add to one of the other many threads about this whole fiasco? There's plenty of them plugging up the front page of the porch the last couple days. Do we need another one? It's not hard to scroll down and see all the variations.

limited is good. makes things more desirable. i'm not a flipper but i like collecting things. i stopped buying concert t shirts years ago because they flooded the market with them. limited keeps the intrigue . i like it. leave it the way it is.

It's baffling to me that a band as popular as Pearl Jam is so resistant to vinyl. I don't understand why they don't have reprints on all albums.

I respect your opinion. But if you want limited...couldn't you settle for limited RSD type releases, while still allowing everyone to buy the vinyls if they want it?

A good example is Jack White. The White Stripes LP came out for RSD and has lenticular and colored vinyl...which is great for the collector. But they're also going to release the same album on black vinyl, so everyone who wants to enjoy this album on vinyl will be able to.

Doesn't that please everyone, both collector and casual vinyl listeners alike?
  • Agreed. But I have to say I managed to score a RSD mystery vinyl and I"m not a flipper - my vinyl is for playing.
