Some Vinyl Recommendations...

Saved for a while and I'm heading to the record store this weekend and was looking for some advice. I know the bands/artists I want to pick LPs from just looking for some advice on what to get by them, was planning on 1 LP per artist. I don't have anything on vinyl from any of these artists yet, so looking to start.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Beck
Ryan Adams
Black Sabbath
Velvet Underground or Lou Reed
Neil Young
The War on Drugs
Nirvana

    Some records from those artists are going to be easier to get than others.

    RHCP - I'm not sure whats readily available by them. Blood Sugar was repressed a few years ago, so I guess that.

    Beck - You may be able to find Morning Phase and maybe a recent UK repress of Modern Guilt and Guero. But thats about it.

    Ryan Adams - His last 2, s/t and Ashes and Fire are easier to find but they aren't as representative. The rest are getting difficult to get because he is letting them go OOP. That being said the best one to get thats easy to find is Love Is Hell. It was repressed as an amazing 3Lp set from MoFi. get that. Worth every penny and probably his best album.

    VU - All their albums are readily available. Theres a box set that I hear is pretty good. If you want 1, just get VU & Nico.

    Neil Young - he just put out a new box set, but they aren't available as individual titles yet. his last box is, so get Everybody Knows this is Nowhere or Performance Series 1 from the Fillmore.

    The War on Drugs - Lost In the Dream

    Nirvana - Nevermind was re-pressed a year or so ago, but I'm going to tell you to get the 2013 Mix of In Utero (Cover is black not yellow). Its a great new take on an old classic.

    i would suggest picking up any of the NYA (Neil Young Archives) live releases... if you want unplugged neil go with Massey Hall is a nice 2LP ... Canterbury House and Cellar Door are alsdo great acoustic Neil... if you want Neil w/ Crazy Horse then the Fillmore show is what you want

    but i HIGHLY suggest Massey Hall... might be the best show of his career, according to Neil

    I love that album all those archives sound amazing!
    Cellar Door is great too!

    For Neil, you can't go wrong with On the Beach ;)

    I like Sabath Bloody Sabath or Sabotage for Black Sabbath two great albums you never hear enough of.

    Masters of Reality or Selt Titled are good too.

    The MoFi Ryan Adams - Love is Hell is fantastic sounding and worth every penny. Also, Jacksonville City Nights is under $20 and a hell of a record.

    And Lost in the Dream was the best album of '14 and probably my favorite since Blunderbuss, soo.... Pick that one up.

    I was definitely leaning towards Massey Hall, awesome album I listen to it most of the time I'm feeling Neil Young. Lost in the Dream is amazing, one of my favs from the last 5 years. Should be an interesting trip, looking forward to some new vinyl.

    Like Tim Simmons said if you ever see any of Beck's older stuff for reasonable price grab it. He doesn't repress anything officially so demand is quite high.

    They are just as amazing live! Really captivating show. Saw them in September and brought my boyfriend knowing he'd love them, and he was basically hooked by the end of the first song!

    The first couple WB albums have been reissued over the past few years. Stay away from Automatic. The U.S. Pressing has been pretty bad. I guess a new one is out but no word on that yet.

    So yeah, get The IRS albums. You can probably get them for $7-$10 a piece.

    I was able to pick up:
    Lost in a Dream - The War on Drugs
    Massey Hall - Neil Young
    Californication - RHCP

    Also got a few I wasnt planning on
    Elephant - White Stripes
    Zeppelin - III & IV
    Wakin On A Pretty Daze - Kurt Vile

    Already making another list, it's addicting.
