pearl jam shows in hawaii - september 2015

Just wondering if anyone in the know can put any credibility to the rumours about pearl jam playing in hawaii in late september. I have been saving for a while now to go on a holiday and catch a show internationally (I live in Australia) and would much prefer to go to hawaii than south america. Dont want to book anything in south america only for hawaii to be announced in a few months. Any assistance is much appreciated.

    For those that don't know; the rumor is pj will be headlining a festival on oahu with the chili peppers Sept 25-27.

    Along with the other rumor PJ will be headlining the Global Citizen Festival in NYC on Sept 26. Also would be great if there was a "?" in that thread title

    Yeah, I'd put more faith in the NYC rumor than I would the Hawaii one.

    I'm with Josevolution ... I live in the New York area and would go to Hawaii before the globfest here
    I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

    ...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

    I know PJ is a rumour, but is the festival solid? I wouldn't mind planning a trip to Hawaii around a festival, especially on the off chance that PJ might play.

    Aren't the Peppers on hiatus? Maybe they are back. When I first heard the Hawaii rumor I thought it was a joke someone on the board made. You Hawaii in September seems like an odd time to go.

    Nice one. ;) I thought the Frusciante stuff was starting to get pretty generic, but I totally lost interest when they replaced him with a guy who tries to look and sound like him. Call it a day already, the last thing they needed was another guitarist.

    And to stay on topic, Hawaii shows would be great. I missed seeing EV solo in Maui in 2009 by about 3 weeks. :(

    yeah if i go to Hawaii it's not because the RHCP are playing .....I'm sure you can go to their web site and find their fans say the same crap about PJ
