Exactly. You don't know what it is. So why go judging someone's profession?callen said:
Musky when you post things like this I question your stated profession.muskydan said:Breaking news…..The 7 month old who had her tiny little head cut off by a power saw killer was charged today. Wana know who did it??? It was Grandmama. As Elvis sings "another young baby child is killed in the ghetto..in the ghetto". What fuckin planet do we live in? How would you like to be the first responders on the scene of this unspeakable act??? Just another day in the ghetto, in the ghetto….
Just in case you were wondering, No protests are planned. Never are…..
I worked in the ghetto for many years and quickly realized most of the people were good folks and able to separate good and bad and not paint all the same. You must see the innocence of children and realize environment shapes them. You must see good people with good hearts.
Get so bummed thinking a police officer feels this way and then posts about it in public. Maybe it's therapy for all the shit you must witness. Baffled.0 -
I do, in fact, prefer the loaded, deep dish style of Chicago to the thin, flimsy style of New York pizza...but in the end, it's all about the sauce...now I need pizza lolMonkey Driven, Call this Living?0

I went to New York for the 1st time last year. I have lived in Chicago all my life, so I am familiar with every Deep Dish Pizza joint in the city.rgambs said:I do, in fact, prefer the loaded, deep dish style of Chicago to the thin, flimsy style of New York pizza...but in the end, it's all about the sauce...now I need pizza lol
I gotta say.
The Pizza joint we went to in Queens, had a kick ass, thin crust, gooey, greasy, slice of cheese pizza. It was delicious.
Take me piece by piece.....

66 degrees here in Chicago this Friday.
The Emergency Rooms will be busy.
This city is not the same city I grew up in.
What the hell happened to human decency?
And in my eyes, it will not get better. It will never get better. It will only get worse. 20 years from now Chicago will be an even bigger NIGHTMARE.Take me piece by piece.....

Yep. Just seems to be getting worse with no signs of slowing down. Reading the daily roundup of awful things that happened on the south and west sides the night before has become a sad part of my morning routine.SPEEDY MCCREADY said:66 degrees here in Chicago this Friday.

The wife and I are most likely making the move to the burbs this summer. Good timing too...if this Garcia guy becomes mayor, watch out. Going to be a fucking bigger mess than it is right now.0 -
I didn't have to move that far to get away from it. River Grove. I can mow my lawn in the summer, leave the lawn mower on the lawn, get in the car, drive to Menards, go get lunch, and come back 2 hours later and my lawn mower is right where I left it. I have lived here 4 years, and have not ONCE had to lock my car doors.Indifference71 said:

ANYWHERE in the city, that lawnmower would be gone in 5 minutes. Anywhere, any neighborhood.Take me piece by piece.....

HAHA...yep, that lawnmower would most likely be gone. Even in Roscoe Village where I'm at which is prob one of the safest neighborhoods in the city.
Wife and I both grew up in Park Ridge so we'll be looking in the NW burbs...Mt. Prospect, Arlington Heights areas. Maybe Park Ridge, but it's so damn expensive there. I love so many things about living in the city, but it will be nice to have my own backyard and a garage soon.0 -
I thought I would never leave that city. Truth is I should have left 20 years earlier.Indifference71 said:SPEEDY MCCREADY said:

So you are in Roscoe Village? No worries over there other than a few garage burglaries and the occasional 100 lbs cougar that roam the neighborhood. My buddy was the one who shot that beast a few years back…one of the craziest things I have ever seen in Chicago. I Was actually at the VFW in PArk Ridge last night for a meeting…if I could live out of the shitty I would live there.Indifference71 said:SPEEDY MCCREADY said:
