    That coach is in Nashville now. He may not be the greatest ever, but there was no reason to let him go. Outside of that 2 month run last year to get them into the playoffs, the team hasn't done much. We all know that.

    lavi tends to have a short shelf life i find. i wonder if the flyers would go after the Sharks coach (sorry forgetting his name) if the sharks don't make the playoffs.

    of course would love to see the flyers go after babcock but don't see him leaving Detroit

    Slim playoff chances update.
    Trail BOS by 4 points- BOS has two games in hand
    Trail Florida by 2 points- FLO has one game in hand.
    Ottawa is 1 point back w/ Three games in hand.

    yeah it's kinda a double edge sword situation there. I think i'd rather see them in the playoffs although they wouldn't get too far.

    it looks like the flyers are going to use some young d-man next year. now if the team trade say Read I will be happy. I am actually surprised of the timo trade. I am happy for him but i was surprised that they could trade him for anything.

    They simply do not deserve to sniff the playoffs. The fact that they were still making it interesting before is a small miracle.

    Steve Mason is tied for 5th in save percentage (.926) and has just one win on the road this season (1-9-5).

    Give up game tying goal with 1 second left. Failed 3 on 1 OT powerplay. Failed breakaway in OT.
    Claude Giroux has not scored a even strength goal on home ice all year long. Whole team relies on the powerplay to score.
    Defense stinks, outside of a couple of good Offensive D-men.
