Happy 20th Anniversary to a somewhat mysterious show in Taipei Taiwan 1995! Until now that is. Keep reading.
I ALWAYS wondered why that Last Exit was the only thing ever mentioned in the Concert Chronology on Five Horizons and Two Feet Thick. Someone out there had to have known what else was played at this show besides Last Exit. And then the emergence of PJ20. The soundtrack, as well as the film feature Last Exit from Taipei. As good as the Last Exit footage is in the film, there has to be even more footage of this show...somewhere. But who knows? C'mon, why would the band only choose to have Last Exit filmed and not the whole show?
This is the ONLY 1995 show that I have no audio recording of. Besides Last Exit that is. And there has NEVER been a recording, to my knowledge, of this show in existence or in circulation.
02/24/95 - TICC: Taipei, Taiwan
attendance: 3,000
support act: Mudhoney
set: Last Exit...

notes: With an unusual start, Ed is carried onto the stage wrapped in a silk blanket, from which he emerges wearing a fly mask.

A Chinese woman accompanies the band onto the stage for the encore and explains (translates) that Ed is still feeling ill.
Little is known about this setlist. UNTIL NOW! I've had a copy of this setlist in my possession for a couple of years now. Just waiting until the right moment to share it. And since it's the 20th anniversary, I thought I'd share it for everyone to see! Setlist below! "Taipei" is misspelled as "Taipai".

Security was very restrictive with this extremely excited crowd.

How did you get this? Details my man! I wonder what the new song is

  • they were contracted to only tape 1 song (maybe 2?) per venue from memory on this tour for "archival purposes".
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

I obtained this from a serious collector who worked for the band during this time period. Let's just say I spent a small fortune on many 1995 tour items from this collector. I mean I had to! It's my favorite PJ tour of all time. I was also able to get my hands on a few 1994 tour items as well.
I don't know why he let it all go, other than maybe he didn't have the room anymore or simply needed the money. But I didn't question any of it. I just said "I'll take that...and that...and that...!"

    thanks for the setlist.
Another two shows that are not circulating from that tour are Perth 1995-03-06, and Brisbane 1995-03-21.. maybe some footage from these concerts is included in the 1995 movie (can't remember right now), and there's a source with just a few songs from Brisbane night one.. but no complete aud recording of these shows ever surfaced, and the setlists from these shows may not be 100% accurate

Your welcome for the setlist! I'm sorry it took me so long to get it out there. I'm huge into the 1995 era, so I really wanted it to surface on the 20th anniversary of the actual show!
As far as the 2 other shows you spoke about in the above. I DO have the Perth recording from 03/06/95! It's out there, but not too many people have it.
But your right about the 03/21/95 Brisbane audio. 4 songs from that show ARE in circulation.
    1. Unknown Song
    2. Corduroy
    3. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
    4. Animal

However the sound on the 4 songs is quite good, but who knows for sure how the songs fell into the actual setlist??

what does the unknown song sound like? fast/slow?

It's a medium paced song, if you even want to call it a song at all. It's more noise than anything and it's seriously only 7 seconds long!!!

Do any of you also have details in their show in Manila, Philippines? Like setlist, audio and video/pictures. The only video I saw was Even Flow in PJ20. Thanks!

I'll be creating the "Happy 20th Anniversary" Manila thread around midnight MST.
There will be lots of info in it, so be on the lookout on the Porch section on an hour and 45 minutes.
I believe there's more Manila footage in that secret PJ 95 movie that nobody knows about! ; )
