    I'll tell you what....UNLV hoops were (was?) pretty incredible late 80s early 90s.

    I remember Tark somehow getting this illiterate dope named Lloyd Daniels to come to UNLV. the dude was LeBron before LeBron. Unfortunately, the local news station got film of Lloyd buying some crack on his first night in town. I also remember when Tark had a scholarship waiting for some dude....just as soon as he graduated from the California Penal System.

    really, tho, Tark was a good dude...one of the brothers once said "Tark ain't white, he's Armenian."

    RIP Shark. He tested all the boundaries on recruiting rules as he just wanted to win. Perfected the art of stashing players at a JC to get them eligible that almost all schools do now. It takes a maverick like him to challenge the status quo to get real change done. He will be missed greatly.

    I always thought what hurt them in 1991 was that they were never tested.....until Duke. Kinda like how I see Gonzaga this year except UNLV was much more dominant in their second tier league.
