Best screen name award.
19 here. But I think they should just be happy we put up with all the insanity over the last 20 years! Lol
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
Life took me different directions, always liked PJ and had most of the albums in the 90s. Then I rediscovered the band really on Sirius.
Wanted to see some shows, found out that the 10c was how to get presales. So I joined. The lottery system is cool, because a fan is a fan, and in a true democracy, everyone should get a chance.
Safe to say, everyone on here is part of the reason PJ is still around, and therefore should have a crack at GA seats, whether you were the first member or in the 250,000 range where I am.

This would be cool. After 20 yrs you get free lifetime membership. Or maybe some random warehouse gift...
I wasn't serious. And I don't think the band owes us anything but to recognize long time members would be a great show of appreciation. Most of us have been fans from the beginning, but only a few of us (not me) bothered to mail the $10 back when they formed this club and continued to every year for the last 20+ years.
How many members are there? 2-3 hundred thousand?? Of that, maybe 500 people are 20+ year members? It wouldnt cost them a lot to make them lifetime members..
Bleh
Send them a free sticker, and have them fill out a survey on their thoughts of the ticket lottery.
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
2003 - I put a postcard in the mail for a chance to get tickets.
2010 - A lot of people were pressing F5. Some won tickets, many did not.
2014 - A week to enter a lotto. And yes, lower numbers still get seat priority. (Now, I wouldn't be opposed to having a 10C early entry where members and their guests could enter into a blind draw about an hour before doors. Line up, get a number. If your number is drawn, you and your buddy go first. If your number is one lower than the one drawn, you go in last. Everyone with a pit who doesn't want part of this system can cheerfully enter when doors open.)
Dare I say that 2003 and 2010 were a "lotto" in the true sense of the word? Many enter, few win?
Now...what they COULD do is send the annual singles out by member number so that lower numbers get mailed first. That might add some benefit to having lower numbers.
Everyone has autorenewal.
Now...what they *could* do is after, say, 10 years of consecutive membership, offer a $5 "early bird renewal" discount. If you renew during your 12th month of membership, you save $5. Not much, but it is something, right?
I don't know why anyone would care about $5 one way or the other. Seems like more trouble than it would be worth.
I'd settle for a southbound pachyderm
