Yeah they played it at Cinci, too. Both versions are great but I give a slight, slight edge to St. Paul.
  • A year ago today, I asked Diddy to marry me. She said yes.

    It's also EVs bday.

When I was finding the courage and calming myself before I asked, it did cross my mind that we would have an ice breaker if we ever crossed paths with the man.......

I gave my brother in law a burned copy of the St. Paul show for Christmas. He said it's so cool to have a quality version of a show he was at.

The door to MN is always open for PJ. Remember us the next tour!

I burned a friend a copy of the St. Paul show and included the sticker I bought. She posted it to her instagram page and PJ official picked it up. Pretty cool!

Most unexpected moment of the 2014 PJ year? Moline. Has to be, because really, who saw that coming?

But the most unexpected singular moment? "Baba O'Riley" in the five slot at Milwaukee. Whoa. I don't think I immediately thought something special was going on when the opening chords started, but by the middle "don't cry" part, when EVERYONE was singing along, it hit me.

I remember thinking, "wow, this is really loud," and maybe something special is going on. Youtube just confirmed how loud it was. Great song, great rendition, great night. Definitely my favorite single moment of the tour.

Alright. Back to cleaning, doing bills, writing a proposal, sorting out my hockey bag and all the other shit that I haven't had time to do in the last three months of my life.

Happy New Year Minnesota kids. :D

    mmm, peeps.
  • I dont know if I have a singular moment.

Being on the floor in St. Paul with all my friends, certainly ranks up there. It was everything Vant said it would be. It was awesome in Moline and Denver.

I loved Rearviewmirror every time. Hit me every time.

Upon relistening to the bootlegs, my favorite song is easily Love Boat Captain in St. Paul. Incredible. It helped having Vant tell me it was Rolling Stones immediatley as they went into it.
  • In other news, has anyone been to Ireland?

hard to disagree with moline being the most unexpected. i think many people thought moline would be a special show on the tour, but certainly no one would have predicted an album, let alone no code.

baba in the 5-hole was something else, too. and, while i figured yield was coming when red dot intro'd the band, it was still an unexpected event going in. yield is tops on my list, so to get to see that album performed has to go down as my moment of the year.
