Why do gray hairs seem to pop up out of thin air and grow faster than any of my other hair, cuz they're just as lon as the rest of the hair on my head and I DYE MY HAIR and they show no signs of even having been dyed...WTF???Music is my Religion and Pearl Jam, my Savior!

Gray hair has a different structure than regular hair, so it doesn't take color as well. I color my hair blonde so you don't see the gray as much.PJSiren said:Why do gray hairs seem to pop up out of thin air and grow faster than any of my other hair, cuz they're just as lon as the rest of the hair on my head and I DYE MY HAIR and they show no signs of even having been dyed...WTF???
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I have 14 nieces and nephews whom I am very close with and spend a ton of time with, but I don't love them enough to be a breeding ground for their germ factory. That is what parents are for!RKCNDY said:Even if the baby is your great niece?
Ugh, this is why I don't hang around kids...they are cold magnets and love spreading them out like a stripper with a bucket of glitter.Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.0 -
Uh oh. Like feeling sick like hell?RKCNDY said:
Okay good. I need to come up with some excuse for not touching any of the kids in the first place. I suspected she was sick the first day we saw her, but the family is so huggy/touchy/smoochy...hedonist said:

Yeah, I find being asked to kiss/hug/touch someone who's sick more off-putting than refusing to do so.
I feel like hell right now.
My family is also touchy-huggy-kissy. Drives my husband fucking nuts.

I picked up that swine flu from the Spectrum shows in '09. Sick as all hell for 7 days. Sickest I've ever been...could not move. Cool thing is, haven't been sick since.hedonist said:

Feeling like hell sucks, but I think we'd all take 1 week knocked out to be sick free for quite some time.
Edit: not even sure why I posted that, just what popped I my head reading the cold posts. I'm going to go grab a beer.Post edited by Empty Glass onI've met Rob

We're fellow former swine flu people too, Empty! At least, I think it was.
Same year, late December I believe. My husband went to the ER for it and by the time I went to bring him home, I had it too. He said I looked green
Enjoy the beer. Cheers!0 -

I actually picked up a nasty case of bronchitis in Portland last year on tour, I was sick for about 8 weeks.
Northern, I also have a bunch of nieces and nephews...can't keep track since my BIL has 4 baby mommas, and we kinda consider all of his ex's other kids part of the family too. Some of my nieces have had their own babies, like my first 'great niece' is older than my youngest niece (or in simpler terms "my BIL's first grandchild is older than his youngest daughter") . I hope that's not too confusing.
Hedonist-I don't mind hugging my PJ friends, I just don't like getting huggy-kissy with little kids. Especially don't like sharing my beverages or food either (food as in "no, you can't have a bite of my sammich, but you can have a few fries")The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Hope you're feeling a bit better this morning, RK!
Here's a question: You've got the big toe, you've got the pinky toe. What are the ones in between called? Are they like fingers? Foretoe, middle toe, ring toe?0 -
Nothing that a quick wikipedia search won't fix:hedonist said:Hope you're feeling a bit better this morning, RK!
Here's a question: You've got the big toe, you've got the pinky toe. What are the ones in between called? Are they like fingers? Foretoe, middle toe, ring toe?
The toes are, from medial to lateral:
The first toe, also known as the hallux ("big toe" or "great toe"), the innermost toe
The second toe, or "long toe"
The third toe, or "middle toe"
The fourth toe, or "ring toe"
The fifth toe, "little toe", "pinky toe", or "baby toe", the outermost toe.
Although I must admit I find the idea of a ring toe fairly silly.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -
I'd never heard of great toe...sounds like something you'd worship - "oh, great toe!"
My second toe is my ring toe.
Also, I've had visions of Sgt. Hulka dancing in my head since writing "big toe" earlier0 -
As long as you ladies don't have "Man toes" your fine0

Sorry I'm a little late to this party. What is your rulings on shaved arm hair? I'm not saying I'm totally metro because I'm not but I do love to keep my arms ,chest and back(laser)clean. What guy wants a pelt anyway.whispering hands said:Depends.. I deal with each person as an individual.. Some guys it may look good, others, blech!!! But as a general rule, a little is good!

Again it depends on the person. And some arm hair is kinda sexy.. Makes a guy look more manly.. But if you have to shampoo your arms, I'd probably prefer you DID do some man-scaping there.. But as for the 'south'.. I think the total manscaped look ' there' is creepy. There should be some hair there!! Just not Mongol bush! Just like I'd think that would be a turn off on women too! ;-) ok now we're in PM territory!! Lmao! Jk. Hope that Answered your question?rr165892 said:

I agree the 70s porn look is way out of date.Lol I disagree about the arm hair though. There is no half way there or your just stubbly. So if you can rock it,I think its a more manly look.It gives the arms more definition.whispering hands said:
