Memphis boot - audio issues ?

Bought the Memphis mp3 and the audio seems muffled or echo-y. I would expect a boot to sound like a live recording but the quality seems worse than others for some reason. Anyone else notice it ?

    Muffled no, not to my ears, a noticeable echo, yes.

    That's an accurate sonic representation of what happened, there was definitely a delay in the room and an echo off the domed roof and back wall of that arena. I sat right in the middle of the lower bowl on Stone's side and heard it as it was happening, band to the right, echo off the back wall to the left. I noticed it initially during the warm up music (Down Boys by the Cars...awesome.) before they took the stage.

    I'm pretty sure that domed roof is what causes the echo. There aren't any acoustical treatments, and certainly no championship banners to deaden that extra sound.

    Yes - the arena had a very pronounced echo.

    Listening back to the Memphis 2000 boot (same venue I think) - it doesn't sound the same. Perhaps a consequence of getting 'more crowd' into the mix on the new boot.

    The Memphis 2000 show was at the Pyramid. was that where they held the 2014 show?
    I didn't notice any sound issues in 2000.

    If you listen to Stockholm or maybe Oslo, I think there is the same effect from the sound bouncing off the back wall and ceiling. It's live so there's not much that can be done.

    I had a similar question about the recording of this show when I listened to it in my car a couple of weeks ago on PJRadio....... I think it's unfortunate, similar to - but different from - the unfortunate feeling I had when I heard the drum-heavy 2008 MSG bootleg.

    I was on the floor, center in the back of the pit. The recording is just an accurate representation of what the arena sounded like. Fedex Forum website goes on about all the acoustic treatments they have but there are not enough, obviously. Was it horrible? no Was it what I expected? no. I was really enthusiastic about the show until the last 5-6 songs and I was pretty much done listening to it....this is both the boot and the live show. All popular stuff with the echo did me in. Band rocked it out tho...with ev sick and all...but i really really prefer better acoustics...obviously the band likes better sounding rooms too...for obvious reasons

    i just listen that..there is a strange noise behind the music and the voice..like theres another song play..i can't explain better..i notice that on ''wishlist'', clearer than the other songs..
