Here's the deal....I drove 400 miles. I usually stop by the Wishlist party, meet a few people and head out when it gets crowded. Our people mover station was closed for our lunch bar we wanted to hit. (Really, we were fine but it worked out great). Stopped by Detroit Beer Company for lunch. Concert buddy and I are big sports guys. We saw Ford Field and Comerica Park off the train. Lunch, then a quick walk to the parks and go pick up tickets.
On the way to the parks we saw Cheli's. Said, let's grab a beer in there. I said to my buddy, "if Chelios shows, I'll hit him". I'm a Flyers fan, he played for the last two teams that beat the Flyers for the Cup.
Had 1, then 2...Christ...Chris Chelios walks in. My buddy, a Red Wings fan, called me out...I ate crow, I pussed out. After Ed's speech at the show, thank God. Being hockey fans, we texted friends we were about 20 ft from Chelios. Then....bam. I hit my friend "dude, that's Vedder". I'm the type of guy that just wants to give a head nod, nothing more. I ran outside, Ed never came in...Chris walked out. Ed, I was the guy who pretended to be on the phone. Being close at a show and close on the street are two different things. I do hope the PJ nut jobs, (sorry but it's true), just enjoy the moment and give the guy a head nod.
So, people mover people...thank you for fucking up our plans and having our station closed. My day worked out.
I got fucking Oceans, Ten is finally complete. Tonight is why we drive hundreds of miles for shows. I lost count of how many shows I've been too, I really don't care, but Detroit is number 2. I love your city, it's great. Folks that rib it, me before..I'm sure, have never been here. Great city, great people.
I'm typing on my phone at 1:00 something ing the morning, I have no idea if this makes sense but it's real. God Damn I love this band.I've met Rob

Great setlist and great banter by Ed too. I took my friend to her first PJ show ever, and it was everything she expected and more. We loved the inclusions of bits of songs like Stranglehold and Detroit Rock City intermingled with the PJ songs.Using up my Ovaltine... like Ovaltine.0

Wow, great show, great crowd. Proud of my hometown. Tenclub reserved seats were awesome. Huge bunch of energy from the band. The close ups on the big screen, their faces, the joy captured on them while performing, really brings it home these guys are genuinely loving what they do. What can you say about that setlist, right? Felt the floor moving, I swear. Lots of happy people around the whole place, most of all was Eddie...he was chatty, happy, punk rock and grateful. And, my God, McCready....killed it every time.
You guys are always welcome back to Detroit....it's really not so bad.Detroit...City of Tomorrow

I'm from the toronto area, drove in to Detroit for the show. Everyone in Detroit was so great, really friendly. Tenclub reserved seats were really good. I have a 400k number and ended up second row on the floor right behind the pit, dead centre. Also, the crowd was amazing throughout the show and band really fed off the energy.-Ardy- said:Wow, great show, great crowd. Proud of my hometown. Tenclub reserved seats were awesome.
