I sent a text to the screen for last night's show...and I wasn't there. It said, ' Please come back and play Seattle.' Anyone see it?!?

I thought it was so cheesy letting people text.. and show it on the big screen.

Cheesy? or the single most brilliant idea I've ever seen. Kudos to Verizon for knowing how to play people like puppets. Standard text message rates apply of course. Even myself, after saying for 15 minutes that I totally am not going to give into this, texted "The Phillies own the Mets." I figured it would be something everyone would boo and me and those around me can get a laugh out of it. But it never went up on the screen. Shouldn't I get my 75 cents back? no? score another for verizon!

I can't complain though. I get good reception mostly everywhere I go.

I sent a text that read NO MORE NO MORE but it didnt make the cut.

I did get my clap if you are 30 up on the board!
    YAY!

Looking around the section I was in night 1 you probably would have gotten a bigger response if you changed the 30 to 50.

If you don't like his contribution, go home and listen to teh studio work.
I'm pretty sure your favorite album is Ten and that you don't like as much the last record...
Come on ! Boom is now a memebr of the band and this is the band's choice to do so...

Actually my favorite album is Yield, then after that I would have to go with Vitalogy or No Code. It depends on my mood. I think the last record is brilliant. I love it. Favorites are Marker and Come Back.

Any other predictions you would like to make about my likes and dislikes? Just because I don't think he's necessary doesn't mean I don't think he's a good musician. I'm sure he's a fine musician. I just don't think he's necessary in the band. Unfortunately that's not my decision to make, but it is my opinion. You of course are entitled to your own opinion.

BTW If you look up Pearl Jam on Wiki it doesn't list Boom as a member of the band. It lists him as "personnel". Isn't a roady also considered "personnel"? Not that Wiki is the most reliable source of info, but I thought that it was pretty funny when I saw it.

I was able to get this one off, amongst others ...
Of all the things you could have picked, why go for something personally direct and mean-spirited?

Please spare me the "it was just a joke, you people need to lighten up" dialog ... I get that part.

But I'm asking. You've clearly got some good ideas, so I'm curious.

It's already been discussed at length in this thread as well as others. I never said that he sucked as a musician, I just don't think he's necessary to the band is all. People here like to make a bigger deal out of stuff than it actually is.

Well ... okay. That's not what I was asking about, but I hear ya.
