ORIGINAL Soldier Field Vinyl Owners, question...
FYI, I read this that mentions 530 vinyl and 700 posters for promotion:

Considering a purchase from a seller that bought sealed and opened with no poster. Light green toothpaste vinyl and white border around cover for certain. Thanks again.

Bought mine sealed years ago off ebay right from the source: Vintage Vinyl in St. Louis. The poster was sealed in the package in the first vinyl's sleeve, left side of the gatefold. He who forgets will be destined to remember.

I noticed from elvistheking44's post from 2008 that maybe a radio station Q101 (?) distributed differently. Can anyone elaborate? No poster?...
"You should have gotten a poster with yours, sealed copies from the Point in St. Louis all had that poster in them. This is different than the one Q101 did."

Q101 did a cd release, not a vinyl release. They were the local alt rock station at the time in. Chicago, Ed points them out in the show and mocks them ironically as they supported pj like no other station in the area. The q101 cd has animal, the other versions did not, but the q101 was a partial show boot so it was not complete either. The original vinyl release had a poster, but many of the vinyl have been resold several times and don't have it any longer. If it is not blue/Green marble vinyl it is the repress/ bootleg of the bootleg. The source for the vinyl is a soundboard feed from a fm broadcast, so it is not an analog tape source.0

Ah, Q101 = CD release. Thanks.
I understand now that most, if not all, vinyl issues included the poster. My seller claims he opened his sealed copy and no poster was included. I've read a few internet comments about not having the poster with the vinyl. Unclear if they were sealed/opened though.0 -
Anyone not have a poster from their sealed copy?0

So if only the mint green one if the real deal, what's this version? Seems to me that there is an official black version too: http://www.discogs.com/Pearl-Jam-Spin-The-Black-Circle-Live-Tonight-At-Soldier-Field-July-11-1995/release/3296940Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. FYI. That Cat # "RG-001" you mention is etched in the runoff of each record/side. I have what appears to be mint green marble original vinyl. I also have an initial/signature "swirl" after the RG-001-"side letter". Plus L-47081 on each side. The VV000001 is on the edge of the cover.

think those were boot pressings (black), not 100% try pjcollectors they have a pretty good handle on it.
I am guessing the bootleg pressings do not have the poster. So that could explain sealed with no poster. As far as I recall there were 500(I think) of the mint marbled green in the first press. This is why it went for so much...too few out there.Post edited by hrd2imgn on0 -

So it's not a catalog number at all? If there is no other original version someone who knows should update discogs - the info is wrong.fanofzs said:FYI. The information on that discogs submission is very vague. No pictures, and no BAOI added.PJ_Soul said:So if only the mint green one if the real deal, what's this version? I would contact the original submitter (he is from Sweden), and ask him...before making any changes to the submission on discogs.
I think that this one is the unofficial black vinyl, but when he submitted his, he didnt take the time to search. Lots of this happens on Discogs, a seller just submits what they have for sale.. instead of actually taking time to research the database.
