What's the most racist country on the planet?

It was an apology on my part, the post was made an hour and 15 minutes after my "insulting" post, and much like my insulting post, was completely directed right at you B.
I've made all of 3 comments in here before that, why do I have to worry about anything from the mods??
feel free to dismiss me..

Why don't we ask other posters what they think?

I would agree with that thought, we can't ignore the fact that racism still exists in this country just may not be as obvious as it once was. I myself has faced racism from my own race. I was once questioned by an angry woman "why can't you date within your own race there's plenty of our own kind to go around." Instead of being confrontational in front of my date I simply told the woman..."give me your number cause after I say goodbye to her tonight, I'll be sure to give you a call just so that I can reach my required quota."rgambs said:Godfather. said:

Continually denying the existence of, and belittling the impact of racism IS racism.
GF appears to think when a discussion about the negatives of America it's intensional is that America is hated. Far from the truth, in this country we CAN NOT be afraid, ignore, be reluctant or pussyfoot around things that this country is NOT proud of and racism is certainly one of them. It's a subject matter how one feels or thinks about it will never go away in this country unless every single one of us pack our shit up and leave. Then leave it those who were here before us.

Racism within the race - where to begin? If you want to call being Jewish a 'race'... the other day an Orthodox Jew in the neighbourhood knocked on my door. I answered and he proceeded to tell me about a camp for Jewish youth he was raising funds for. I told him I wasn't interested. He asked me if I was Jewish. I skeptically responded that I was, and he proceeded to tell me then that I should know that I am obligated to be charitable by Jewish law. I told him that I am charitable and choose non-denominational causes that don't serve one religion only. He clarified that Jewish law says that I must put the needs of the Jewish people before the rest. I told him that I think that's ridiculous, that I disagree that Jewish law states that, and told him to get off my property. Fuck racism.g under p said:

Humans suck sometimes. But not always.
So live in very diverse city and in public everyone is so nice to one another. All people hold doors open. Say thank you. Help each other. Did some walking and had stereo typical "thug" in his Impala stop a crossed the crosswalk. Put in reverse so I could cross. Had my corporate monkey suit on with computer bag. Waved to him and he waved back. On bus right now and African American lady with stroller and three kids. White lady helped her kids on bus. She couldn't get luggage door closed so I went over to help as she got on bus. I'd never worked the door so younger black corp whore as myself instructed me on how to close. Have a nice black lady sitting next to me now and we're chit chatting on kids enjoying the bus ride.

Thanks for your two cents worth.

Continually calling him 'Shit Bomb' after he tried to clear the air sounds like an attack to me.
Please recognize the key terms in the previous two statements: sounds like... to me. I could be wrong, but that's how these things read to a neutral viewer.
You asked for people's two cents and I offered it. So, I am assuming your gratitude at the end of your post is sincere. As such... you're welcome!"My brain's a good brain!"0 -

It's funny, ironic, I don't know...but tomorrow thirteen years ago much was similar. A sense of unity vs division, where it wasn't about color or class or dress or anything. Just a bunch of us going through something together.
This kind of thing should be the rule, not the exception. And, I think for many it is - courtesy, a smile, simple kindnesses.
Thanks for the reminder that the majority of folks aren't assholes.

And I'll call someone whatever I feel like calling them if they choose to call me 'Beezie', or in your case 'Byzine', or whatever the fuck it was that you decided to call me.
And the other trolling posts at the top of this page - were they an effort to 'clear the air'?
Carry on.

And it's also not the first time that the shit bomb has addressed me as 'Beezie'. He did it in the 'Peace & Love' thread too.
If any smart arse troll wants to post shit about me on these boards and fuck with the spelling of my name, then they've no right to pretend to be offended when I respond in kind.
Now shall we get back to the discussion of this thread topic - racism - or do you want to continue trying to derail yet another thread by making it all about me?0 -

I mean... I guess I really shouldn't be surprised seeing as you like to quote yourself in your signature with things like a really deep and profound message that you conceptualized while high on acid (as if nobody else here has gone down that road and been 'really deep' before).
You feigned sincerity and so will I: sorry I rode on you. I'll try to remember to be more agreeable so that I can ride with you in the future.

What is the most racist country? All are the same.
Think all humans are racists, nature of our ingrained evolutionary makeup.
It's the level of acknowledgement and ability to overcome that differ.
Think this acknowledgement and willingness to overcome is tied directly to the benefits gained by sticking to ones race. So whites and Indians. White men and insecurities of black men taking their white women. One group having all the money power and not sharing. But this goes further than just physical traits hence the silly formations of religion and national borders. All build on this same simple evolutionary need for humans to identify with a group for security.

It's interesting that in England Polish migrant workers are welcomed with open arms, and there's a general belief that they are very hard and reliable workers. Compare that with British people's attitudes to Arabs and Indians entering the country - maybe something to do with skin colour?callen said:Subject matter gents.

And in one of the largest studies of it's kind carried out in Australia, it was found 'that half of Australians hold anti-Muslim views.'
http://treatyrepublic.net/content/largest-ever-racism-study-finds-australians-are-racist
Then again:
From a 2006 survey of 4010 Australians on the experience of racism and on attitudes to anti-racism the Challenging Racism Project found that: Most Australians want action against racism
Attitudes to anti-racism, Australia, 2006
Survey Queston
Something should be done to minimise or fight racism in Australia [Agree: 85.6% / Disagree: 5.2%]
Nothing can be done to minimise or fight racism in Australia [Agree: 9.4% / Disagree: 82.2%]Post edited by Byrnzie on0 -

Are all countries really the same when it comes to racism?
People who are disenfranchised or marginalized may be bigots but are they really racists?. As you mentioned, racism is predicated one group having some element of power so it's seems that it would be pretty difficult for a marginalized person or group to exercise true racism. Having said that, if given the opportunity I expect that almost every ethnic, religious and racial group would exercise comparable racist tendencies if they held a similar power advantage. The fundamental difference is that certain groups hold that power and fear that the tables will one day be turned (which is not necessarily an invalid fear).0 -
I'll try to make this as brief as possible addressing Byrnzie on LSD first (because, hey, why not?), and secondly anyone who thinks this topic "What's the most racist country on the planet?" might be worth having a an opinion about.
Byrnzie, you're totally overbearing, dude. I'm not sure what your deal is, but you relentlessly lash out at everyone who isn't riding with you, and that can't make you a whole lot of friends. If you find that belittling, off putting, or insulting, you should think about the way other people in here READ you, and we do that only by what you type at us. My read on you, B? You post only in discussions about all that's wrong with the world, and it's almost always someone else's opinion on the subject copied and pasted. If its not lifted word for word somewhere, it's intolerant bile to anyone who crosses you. Again, overbearing. Take it down a peg.
Any conversation concerning racism is better than no conversation. But I would question the validity of a topic that wants your opinions on if it's Australia or Japan or Israel or the USA that is the most racist country in the planet. What difference does it make? All a question like that does along with all the posts that relentlessly spew out after is remove you from the act of working against racism by making it someone else's problem or hang up. Look at those assholes...
Try posing these questions...What neighborhood in the closest city to you has been crippled by racism? It's easy to find, you'll know it when you're there. What can I do to make sure that the cycle of institutionalized poverty and racism stops in this generation, or better yet by the end of the decade? Who can I contact that feels the same about these issues as I do, so at least I'm making an effort to combat societies ills?
