This may be old news but it never ceases to amaze me how quickly we forget that briefest of presidencies, that of President Al Gore. We often hear, "Bush Stole the election," but rarely do we say, "Man, that Gore presidency went by in a flash." Well, I've got news folks. It DID happen and here's the proof. Ladies and gentlemen, the president of the United States, Al Gore"

    :))

    But, oh, don't get me started. The crap that runs through our kid's section these days. =;

    When they get old enough, I grab them by the collar every chance I get and drag them back to the classics section.

    Regardless of the context, you can't say "I took the initiative in creating the internet" without it sounding like he was Thomas Edison or Steve Jobs! =))

    Didn't he say that all of the polar ice would be gone by now? I just read somewhere that it's as high as it has been for a long time.

    With all due respect to Mr. Gore (the guy who should have been president) I wouldn't rely on what he says about climate change. I respect what he did to raise some awareness but he's not a climate scientist, he's a politician. If you want to keep up on the topic, I sincerely recommend reading realclimate.org Don't take my word for it either. Check out the site and do some thorough reading and tell me what you all think.

    So 1 years worth of data is enough to overturn the incontrovertible connection between global atmospheric CO2 concentration and global temperature that has been established across hundreds of thousands of years?

    Seriously?
    More of a trainwreck then the lying scumbags of the 8 years of the Cheney/Rove govt?
    The same Cheney/Rove govt that lied to America to get into a lost cause of a military action in Iraq?
    The same Cheney/Rove govt responsible for thousands of American soldiers being unnecessarily killed and hundreds of thousands permanently maimed in Iraq.
    The same Cheney/Rove govt that screwed up the action in Afghanistan that resulted in Osama bin Laden getting into Pakistan?
    The same Cheney/Rove govt that got us into the economic and real estate quagmire that many Americans still haven't recovered from?

    Fwiw I voted for him and I was upset that he didn't win. How could someone get the popular vote and lose? Now I realize why the electoral college works and why it is so important.

    Uh, really? You don't understand that? Ok, I used to believe the electoral college was outdated, now I realize the importance.
