Simple question: Do you support Israel's right to exist?

I got defensive because I thought it was a dumb question. And thought you're trying to troll. Look what Israel's resposene was to the 3 teens killed. That should've given you your answer. Sorry for getting angry.dancinacrossthewater said:I think for you to get that defensive that I asked that question is weird man.

Yeah I mean obviously the military response is one thing. I was asking what actually happened to the killers.
I promise you one thing man, whenever I talk about this stuff I'm not trying to troll. It's important stuff. We might disagree a lot, but I'm not trying to troll.Post edited by dancinacrossthewater on0 -
Not sure. But they're in Israel's custody, right? I doubt they'll be able to get away with pleading insanity and be back on the streets within a month.dancinacrossthewater said:What happened to the killers of the three kids?
What happened to the IDF sniper who murdered two unarmed Palestinian teenagers in May of this year? Nothing. Nothing at all.

What happened to those who killed the 3 settlers? Well let's first keep in mind that Israel has 3 suspects who have not been tried in a court of law yet. Despite that, yesterday Israeli forces demolished their houses in the West Bank. Why? Because Israel believes in inflicting collective punishment on the Palestinians even without having to prove anything.
You can't be democratic when you are running an apartheid state.0 -
No response to the above posts, @dancinacrossthewater? You kept asking what happened to the Palestinian suspects, as if to suggest some sort of "equal justice" between Jews and Palestinians in Israel, but once you were proven wrong, silence?0

So much for the cease fire, idf gone back into gaza.0

Every time I don't respond directly to something you post you think I'm ignoring it.fuck said:No response to the above posts, @dancinacrossthewater? Did you see I support the avaaz petition Byrnzie posted? Is there any attempt on your part to engage at all with other opinions on this issue?

What a ridiculous article. Though it's no surprise considering it's the NYT.benjs said:

Let the killing resume
Edit: Although it's still better than anything you would read on the BBC. At least this NYT article allows some Palestinians to comment. I don't think the BBC have ever presented anything other than the Israeli viewpoint in the past 20 years.

I'm curious to hear what you found 'ridiculous' about it. I'll admit I didn't even read the article when I posted it - it was the first result that popped up when I typed "israel" into Google and I figured I'd provide a source.Byrnzie said:

To be honest, my comment was mostly inspired by this particular line which implies that Hamas used dead civilians as political 'leverage'.benjs said:I'm curious to hear what you found 'ridiculous' about it. 'During the war, the rising death toll put pressure on Israel. But during the cease-fire Hamas finds itself with diminished leverage, and so has resorted to threatening and provoking Israel.'

Byrnzie to claim that Hamas isn't cynical about using Palestinians casualties as international leverage is just closing your eyes.PJ_Soul said:

Being critical of Hamas doesn't mean you don't support Palestine!0 -
