    :))

Started listening to the European boots today beginning with Amsterdam 1 to start getting prepped for the tour, because it will be upon us before we know it.

On a side note for any Iowans out there - I was at Best Buy today and the guy who was helping me out also works at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, and said that PJ had a hold on the arena for the fall tour and they were this close to booking PJ and they playing there this tour, but the band decided to play in Lincoln instead.

I'm not complaining as I really lucked out with the Midwest shows being so close this year, but I really hope they can find it in their hearts to play in Des Moines sometime in the next couple of years. They would be more than welcome here anytime.

Eh, it is a tour in the midwest. How good can the shows be? Those cities don't deserve to see Pearl Jam. They still have behind the stage seats available for crying out loud.

    Thumbs down on this tour.

Moline and Lincoln - do these "places" even have running water?

In all seriousness, it really is awesome to see PJ play the Midwest and some of the "forgotten" places. October.....PJ Midwest tour....... football. It really doesn't get any better.

I heard Lincoln just got running water in 2011 and Moline just built a new well in the center of town. Apparently some kid named Timmy got stuck in the well the day after it was completed.

Waving from Ohio over here. Part of the midwest. It'll be kick ass and I'll be happy to be in Cincinnati to witness the kick assery. Hooray for a midwest tour!

Oh man that is awesome and a little hard to hear at the same time! I'm happy that Pearl Jam at least thinks about play in Iowa! I'm still going to enjoy the hell out of this Midwest tour even if it makes me leave the great state of Iowa.

Yep. Some dog, I think a collie breed, alerted authorities. Certainly a scary situation.

Damn, why couldn't they have played Des Moines.

I know, right? They have only played in Iowa twice ever (1992 and 2003), and that 2003 show in Council Bluffs was pretty much Omaha. Wells Fargo Arena would be a perfect venue for them and Des Moines really is a progressive city that I feel they would enjoy playing in, and is almost perfectly centrally located for other larger Midwestern cities like Chicago, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and St. Louis which would attract a lot of fans to travel there to see them play.

It's very refreshing to see someone like you with quite the resume of shows, wanting to see them play in Des Moines. I have also heard some rumors about a possible EV solo show in Des Moines. I really hope they are scoping things out with playing in Moline and Lincoln, and they play in Des Moines some time within the next few years. But is more than likely a pipe dream.
