Any advice on a hotel after the Detroit show? In going to Moline the next morning so anything a little west is cool. Id rather get out of Detroit quick ( no offense to anyone) than stay close overnight.

    I'm doing the same thing!!!
Would really like to make it to Kalamazoo after the Detroit show...that's around a 2 hour drive, but may end up in either Ann Arbor or Battle Creek if I'm not feeling like driving that much after the show!!

I hate to offend anyone from Detroit with comments about how unsafe Detroit is, but is Ann Arbor a safe alternative? I'll probably grab a hotel room there

My wife got a job offer in the Midwest (we're currently on the east coast). She told me about it, asked me what I thought. I said, "well, that'd put us within three hours of three PJ shows."

Ann Arbor is completely safe. Would check to see if there is a michigan game that saturday as that would drive up prices. If you are looking for cheap places to stay try ypsilanti (next to ann arbor) or Jackson (passed Ann Arbor). Both of these cities are off 94 but may be cheaper alternatives.

I think I'm driving back home to Toledo after the show to sleep in my own bed and then leaving in the AM for Moline. I may be picking up some friends in Chicago on the way.

My neighbor is staying at the Crown Plaza which I believe is right across the street from The Joe. They didn't want to stay anywhere where they had to walk or cab it too far. I guess you could stay there, get a good night sleep and leave early in the morning instead of driving the night before, after the show.

DerbyDave definitely has a good plan also!

Luckily, my bed is in Ann Arbor! ;) Couches and floor space aplenty! Don't have tickets to Moline yet, but decided to make the journey and hope for the best. We'll have quite the caravan going! <:-P

I'm coming over from Sweden to do the whole tour. Can't wait for October! Don't think there's a single show that I look forward to more either, maybe because I can hardly believe it's actually going to happen. It's going to be some of the best weeks of my life.
I am going without tickets to most of the shows though, so if you end up with, or hear of, a spare I would be so grateful for a PM. I'll be there, looking for a ticket and maybe even a GA somewhere along the road.
Hope to meet you all at the preparties, in GA lines or at the concerts!

    My tentative plan/wishlist:

    Leave Columbus late morning.
    Get to Cincinnati.
Buy posters and t-shirt and put in car.
    Go to Wishlist party
    Go elsewhere??
    Go to show.
Drive back to Columbus immediately after show end. Hopefully I can park a bit north of the arena.
