I got the Immagine in Cornice as well, very disappointed, but it is what it is. Hopefully I luck out next time.

Immagine in Cornice - Instead of sending it back why not donate it to one of the raffles that is always going on around here to put towards a good cause. Would be a much better use of it instead of trying to piss of the 10C.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Oh, I highly doubt that would "piss them off". Sure, that's a fine idea and I'd be happy to donate it...point me in the right direction.

When the picture used in the product description shows nothing but gig posters, why would anyone in their right mind expect anything else? "Win some, lose some" is the difference between getting a Donkey Kong and a Manbearpig, not paying $40 to get a 9x15 print of DVD box art.

I must say I agree with the recent posts here. I think the "Immagine in Cornice" poster is kind of a bad deal. However I'd ask that no one send theirs back. Otherwise they'll be in the mix for the next round of Mystery Posters. ;)
On a side note...did anyone notice that the poster tube/ shipping label said they weighed 16 pounds? That is off by at least 14 pounds by my reckoning....

SLH confirmed it was meant to be 16 ounces, not pounds.

Imagine in Cornice posters should have been included in the Mystery Box sale, not the Mystery Tube sale. But it does beat the test print from a few years back.

Send elwayvedder a PM, that's a good place to start, he does the Operation Yellow Ribbon in Jersey. There will be tons of pre - parties when the tour starts that will benefit many different groups. And there's usually one or two raffles going on to benefit people with medical concerns, just search the porch or lost dogs.

    Cheers!

I would say that is a legitimate complaint.

I would write a polite, somewhat brief, and well thought out email to santos/10c just expressing disappointment.

They should have inserted the Cornice prints with random gig posters.

They should have inserted the "Immagine in Cornice" posters where the sun don't shine...

  • They could have sent me any gig poster and, even if it was something I didn't care for, I would have accepted my fate.

I'm no entitled little brat, but I have to say I'm not happy with receiving the Klausen "Immagine in Cornice" print.
I guarantee you that if you had polled 100 mystery tube purchasers, 100 of those purchasers would have said they were expecting to receive some sort of gig poster, not a promotional poster for a DVD.
They could have sent me any gig poster and, even if it was something I didn't care for, I would have accepted my fate. This, on the other hand, is disappointing. Might just send it back (with no refund requested) as a silent form of protest.
Not looking for sympathy...you can certainly file this under "first world problems", but I'm not impressed, Ten Club.

Don't think anyone here will disagree with this rationale, (I still have to read further down) should have been gig posters.

I'm wondering how many people (who bought a poster) don't use the forum, so we will never know what they got/what was sent out. Do you like 30% posted here? 40%? 50%?

I scored the 2003 Santa Barbara print. It is the poster with the wine. It is a really cool print and I am happy with my luck.

Yeah, easily the best thread on the forum at the moment for me...and it's not over, still a load of international fans waiting on their tubes!
