dude, obama is not a fucking king. he can't just absorb territory and keep an army there because it pleases the king.

    get a grip.

bush never had this amount of opposition in congress. i would like to see anyone else get what they want out of the last 2 do nothing congresses.

From 2008-2010 Congress was Democrat, let's not forget that.

even if the dems held the house, what happens when something passes the house and then gets filibustered in the senate???

    NOTHING.

i dont defend obama because i think he is a success..i defend him because the criticisms of him are often based in racism, and even more often are just plain ludicrous. GOP congressionals LITERALLY refuse to do the job they were elected for and the blame goes to obama. I have yet to see a single Independant, Libertarian, or Republican have the balls to address the obstructionism of Bohner's house.

    i agree.

the reason why none of them speak out is the gop will eat it's own. if you are not in lock step with the party, they will primary you, and you will lose. the only reason they are not eating rand paul right now is because of ron paul's lengthy service. rick perry is attacking rand right now, and people are pretty much ignoring him, thankfully.

Obama lied to get health care passed. Bush lied to get a war passed. Clinton lied about an affair. The legacy of the last 3 presidents are all based on lies. And your asking about leadership? The "leadership" in politics in this country is a joke.

Look at what those three lies were about. One of these things just doesn't belong here, one if these things just isn't the same...

That aside, you are correct. The political and governmental leadership in this country is a joke.
Dems are the party of women but when their leader abuses his power and position to take advantage of women it is no big deal.

Tired of hearing excuses that Obama is just following inititiatives or enactments that Bush passed. Either you do or don't like Bush, so if you hate Bush then it is a failure of Obama to fail to change a Bush enactment. If Obama tried to keep troops in Iraq and Malaki said no then Obama failed. Enough excuses.
oh so he should have told maliki to shut up and kept our troops there? is that what you would have done?? the gop wanted our troops out of there, our citizens wanted our troops out of there, the rest of the world wanted our troops out of there, IRAQ wanted our troops out of there.

we got kicked out of iraq. there is nothing obama could have done about. bush signed the status of forces agreement, not obama.

    next....
The list of people Obama can't negotiate with is growing...

You said in your post that Obama tried to keep troops in Iraq so I was pointing out that he failed on his objective. I don't care what you or the republicans or the people wanted. You said Obama wanted to keep troops there and he couldn't do it.

You ask what he was supposed to do...well, I didn't realize foreign diplomacy was so easy and that countries always did what we wanted without any question or negotiation.

Point ....there is always an excuse for what Obama does or doesn't do. Always someone else's fault, or an excuse that Bush did it too (which I find amazing that people who hate Bush will defend Obama by saying Bush did it too).

dude, obama is not a fucking king. he can't just absorb territory and keep an army there because it pleases the king.

These are important points. I hope history (at least) will show that, imperfect though he is, Obama has been heavily stymied throughout his presidency and as a result has made less progress than he would have if he had the relative cake-walk Bush enjoyed.

I totally understand and agree that the voting process is often very frustrating and probably also often ineffectual but no way am I not going to exercise my opportunity to vote. It's easy to do by mail and I'll take every chance I get to make even a tiny difference.

I see, voting as in a Poll. It's my smoke addled brain. You see, I've taken up smoking again. My favorite brands: Pine Longs and Fir Regulars with an occasional Oak Lite.

Shouldn't we be taking care of our own social mess first?

I 100% agree with that. It is one of the strongest agreements that I have with the Paul's. Money is taken from us (some of us poor) to be given to leaders (generally rich) of other countries.

Can you provide some examples about critcism based on racism? I'm not saying they don't exist but just would like to see some examples. The reason I ask is because Bill Clinton is a white person and the Republicans actually DID impeach him and DID prevent his health care legislation from passing. Racism obviously couldn't have been a factor there so why is it now a factor when Republicans are just looking at the possibility of impeachment and weren't able to prevent health care from passing?

True racist acts like the 1994 Clinton Crime (which spiked incarceration rates amongst black youth) Bill aren't discussed much around these parts, speaking of which didn't he sign in DADT too? So he much have been a racist and bigot.

=)) well you got me, I thought obama was a fucktard right from the start and here we are over 6 years later and so many of the train members are still blaming Bush and the Rebublicans(and so does berry-o) for obama's poor sense of judgement and a shitty job over all as president and probably the worst in my time, muslim's ? the muslims ......well you know how I feel.

worst in your time, what a joke! I understand annoyance at bush blaming but get your head out of the sand and think about things! Economy is better, less americans have died abroad, and he can speak in full sentences. Or does that make him seem pretentious to you?
