    If he grants amnesty for 5 million I would finally support his impeachment. This is a gross abuse of executive orders. We need to reign in presidential power.

    The mantra that Obama failed in Iraq completely disregards the reality that there was no way to succeed there. We broke that country beyond all possible repair. Labeling Obama a failure because he failed to fix the unfixable is partisan politics at its most blatant.

    There were many Americans swinging their dicks around in 2003, excited to kick out Saddam and bragging about what a "cakewalk" it would be. That was the moment of failure.

    You ask what he was supposed to do...well, I didn't realize foreign diplomacy was so easy and that countries always did what we wanted without any question or negotiation.

    Point ....there is always an excuse for what Obama does or doesn't do. Always someone else's fault, or an excuse that Bush did it too (which I find amazing that people who hate Bush will defend Obama by saying Bush did it too).

    how do you expect any country to allow a foreign army to stay there when there was a treaty with a set date to leave?? the iraqui people pressured their president to get us out of there. it would have been political suicide for maliki to let us stay. if you were maliki would you have let us stay?

    iraq is a sovereign country now. if we stayed we would have been an occupier, just like israel.

    imagine your neighbor comes onto your property and sets up camp. you tell him to leave,. he says "no i think i will stay longer..." you tell him to leave again. he is on your property. he can't just stay there without you letting him stay there. this is the same thing.

    unlike our government, at least the iraqi government actually heeds what it's people are telling it.

    i dont defend obama because i think he is a success..i defend him because the criticisms of him are often based in racism, and even more often are just plain ludicrous. GOP congressionals LITERALLY refuse to do the job they were elected for and the blame goes to obama. I have yet to see a single Independant, Libertarian, or Republican have the balls to address the obstructionism of Bohner's house.

    also, let us not forget that obama only had a filibuster proof majority in the senate for roughly 150 days. every single thing has been filibustered. a six year term is roughly 2300 days. you can't get anything accomplished in 150 days in our government, so please, let's not kid ourselves with this debunked talking point.

    Well, let's at least get our history straight. Until Al Franken was sworn in on July 7, the Democratic caucus in the Senate stood at 59. After that it was technically up to 60, but Ted Kennedy hadn't cast a vote in months and was housebound due to illness. After that the Senate was in session for 11 weeks before taking its winter recess, followed by three weeks until Scott Brown won Kennedy's seat in the Massachusetts special election.

    So that means Democrats had an effective filibuster-proof majority for about 14 weeks.
