If the show isn't in NYC, philly, boston or some other special place in 'Mercia I think ed shouldpost the set list in the forum just to make sure we are ok with the song selection.

To each their own. I just find it boring. I even listened to it again today and it just doesn't do anything for me. Sure, it would be cool to hear it live the first time, but I would much rather hear other moody, mellow songs from their catalog over strangest tribe.
I also find it boring, but was impressed by eddie's vocal performance here anyway, and it was certainly moody (and I liked that the crowd shut up for it!). Turns out the live version is better than the studio version, which is good. :)

He has to make sure "we" all sign off on the set list before he can even strum a fucken guitar. =))

Personally, I'm happy for Norway. And while those Norwegians I've met are quite strange... I still love them.

The Beatles sure knew what they were talking about!

In Phoenix this past November, they played Hard To Imagine, a fave of mine, and i didn't even know i was hearing it until half-way through! Was my first ever PJ show, tho, and I still couldn't believe that I was standing in front of Stone, drinking Eddie's wine from my cup previously filled with some sort of over-priced yellow water beer.

I'm fookin' glad the crowd was silent...it'll make for a great bootleg cut! Being from MN, I have a particular fondness for Tribe, as the temperature reaches 5 below a few times every year.

Ya, it gets pretty cold out here in jersey too, a couple of -5* days for sure. But we're no tribesman, we're just good old assholes.... ;)=))

Most rarities aren't identified much by the crowd because only us psychotic assholes know what the hell they are. Hold On got very little reaction at Wrigley and same with Alone in Columbus in 2010.

We were really hoping to hear it in Calgary last year. It was a snow storm that day and it was December. Didn't happen, but so glad it finally got it's debut. Hope it gets played several more times.

Sour grapes. Here's hoping Ed brings out his typewriter at your next show and debuts a very long version of Writer's Block for you. Maybe someone can start a petition? :)>-

They completely butchered Sleeping by myself right before Strangest tribe and I think that made them concentrate more on delivering ST well (which they did). People really listened, you could almost hear a needle drop. It was a special moment for sure. I´m glad i was there

Both Journalist and Norwegian PJ fans loved the show
Alt the Norwegian big newspapers gave the show a Max score (6/6), that is VERY rare!.

So why are all the thight ass music journalist Salute PJ in every way here?, i think the main reason would be that PJ\Eddie was all over the place and the Crowd loved it, they where in grate shape that night (best ive seen them). That the Norwegian Crowd went quiet is due to respect, would you prefer clapping and shouting in this quiet lovely song?, We listened and loved it. And Yes Many Norwegian know PJ Rarities and most of the crowd was PJ fans Becouse no one else would take the effort to go to Telenor Arena which it the worst Arene in Norway (i know very many that did not attend becouse the concert was here), Telenor Arena was built to play football in!, but the club went broke so today they started using it for gigs ... That explains pretty much why nothing make sense regarding crowd controll, sound controll etc etc...

Yes, Norwegians loved every second of this concert.

The song was played due to the never ending requests by a guy from Germany named Mike. During the 2012 tour he made tons of banners with "strangest tribe" written on them and handed them out to people (got one myself too). He went to multiple shows that tour and showed the banner (even got the finger from Ed once or twice). He took the banner since then to shows in south america and the last US tour. This Euro tour the banner kept on going being reinforced by the euro crowd (some with their own 2012 "strangest tribe" banners and some with signs made on the spot). Mike did (I think) all the shows up until now and at every show has shown the banner and requested the song. At Berlin, a bunch of people on the rail spelled out the song name on individual letters and Ed told them to spell a different song name with the letters (they spelled "Bee girl" which the band then played that night).
To say that "Oslo did not deserve it" is ridiculous. It was the perfect crowd reaction for that song - total silence in order to appreciate being a part of PJ history!

    (/end rant)

And there it goes. Thank You for that, the answer. I appreciate it. Sorry for pissing off soo many people, I was totally wasted last night, like Blackout Town, population 1 (wife and kid are outta of town, first time in 3 years). Anyway I apologize. I should have never written this post or honestly never been online. I'm totally not an elitist, although I may be an asshole from time to time obviously. Anyway I would like to recant my post. I'm embarrassed and have been extremely hung over for like 15 hours. Anyway, Oslo deserved it. Every city that gets a PJ show deserves it and all that comes with it. Again I was wrong and soo sorry for upsetting this many people. The song sounds/looks much better sober.

Brother-Newark, NJ-2010. Yup, I said Newark, NJ. Or MSGII as us rangers fans call it.

Edit- I saw they played it Chicago in 09 too.

That setlist was insane. Crowd sucked, but I didn't mind.
