This was an amazing evening for a long time fan! What a set list, almost forgot the drunk talking girl during strangest tribe.

Ok... I'll probably have to edit this tomorrow, but... this goes along with the handful of pictures I got.

Nope.
Not going to complain at all. Not about the less-than-perfect shuttle, not about my less-than-perfect timing, not about the one guy trying to weasel in who was still nothing as annoying as last night... not about anything.
This was my twelfth show, and number 12 of 12 was 10 out of 10. I almost planned to just stay in Sweden and skip this show and holy crap am I glad I decided to just suck it up and make things work. Better Man? Nope. Elderly Woman? Nope. Wishlist? Nope. Wowthankyou. Instead I ended up getting to hear, if I counted this correctly, SIX songs I've never heard before. Love it. It's HARD TO IMAGINE that I'll be SLEEPING BY MYSELF in SATAN'S BED with the sounds of FOOTSTEPS coming from the GARDEN (Yes!!) of the STRANGEST TRIBE after such a stunning show. And really?? Strangest Tribe? It's certainly not my favorite song, but this is the second time I've gotten to see a song played live for the very first time, after Getaway at home last October, and this one is a decade and a half old. Just amazing.
Throughout the set I was trying to figure out if this was going to beat last night's set and if either of them were really going to beat Amsterdam '12. Turns out that Amsterdam was so much fun, and they played super fast, and Ziggo is a great place, and I got to hear Rats, but... then, during Strangest Tribe, I remembered that Thomas was in Amsterdam, and that definitely had a lot to do with how much fun that was. So, let's cross that one out...
And then they played Footsteps, and I remembered the scratches all over my arms... one for each day since I fell apart. That pretty much sealed it. But Leash, Down, and In Hiding all for the 3rd time and Sad for the second? And... Garden... Garden was just surreal. I was 14 again, just for a minute, and this time it was ok.
Was shocked that I got there only 30 minutes before the early entry door opened and still managed to find (and, for the most part, secure) a 5th-ish row spot dead-center. The crowd was really awesome and so eclectic. It seemed equal parts boys and girls... I think someone's mother was in front of me, and a dad was there with his 12(?) year old son and 8(?) year old daughter, which was just freaking adorable. I'm glad that they eventually left because letting her sit on his shoulders was cute but just not cool for anyone around and, really, not safe. Awesome that they got a spot on stage-left and that Ed noticed her and called her out and... yeah. That's the kind of thing that makes it special.
I left my front spot after the first set to get water and step outside and witness, serendipitously, a beautiful sunset. (at 10pm) Came back in and wondered around the back for both encores, which was actually really nice for a different point of view. Especially considering the soft and slow 1st encore. And the poster... the freaking poster is great. I ended up buying one at the merch booth way toward the end of the show (they must be really overprinting these) because I think I'm going to have to double-frame it like I did Gold Coast. The back is just as sweet as the front.
This trip is going to put me in the poor house, but it's totally worth it. And I've still got two days left to play!
Just a stunningly, wonderfully, perfect night.
Well... almost perfect. I just can't put my finger on what was missing.
Literally.

What an amazing setlist. I could name elements that I liked better about Amsterdam and Berlin, but overall the setlist is magic on paper.
Can't wait to read the reaction. Must have been a blast. It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.

I'm still in awe of last night and probably won't be able to describe it before I'm home again. It was an incredible show. Was at the rail for the first time, with my brother and girlfriend, Mike side. Fantastic atmosphere. Dimi was there, a girl from Slovenia, a guy from New York. I'm terrible at remembering names but all incredibly nice people. And then the setlist. Will never forget this one for sure. Bring on Leeds & Milton Keynes!

Wow they nailed Strangest Tribe and it looks like Stone really dug playing it.
I wonder if in the relearning of the tune, Stone implemented a new way to play it. Not how I learned it and it sounded a bit different, though that could just be the recording.0 -

Another GEM from the European tour. Congrats to all who attended. There's no need to say goodbye0

Really good show last night, great to be there. Felt a bit sorry for the band that there were so many empty seats and the crowd was obviously thousands below capacity. However, it didn't seem to bother the band or fans who were there as they were on top form.
Not the best venue. Even though we were in the seating section supposedly nearest to the stage, it felt miles away. Not a patch on somewhere like the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam or the O2 in London. They ran out of beer in our section, which is never good (although, in Oslo, it saves you a small fortune!).

I like when PJ play Oslo because it obviously allows them to experiment because of the rather subdued crowd or if the venue hasn't sold out (which clearly was the case last night). It's the best of the 4 shows I've seen so far this year (Amsterdam 2 and Stockholm close though) and we had a really great night at the rail. Strangest Tribe was a jaw-dropping moment, I was just sorry my friend was not attending since that song is his holy grail. This might be one of those boots which doesn't tell the whole truth (a couple of band mistakes here and there, Ed ws a bit hoarse from Stockholm, etc). But it was one heck of a show! My 20'th and I was constantly surprised by the setlist flow

It is going to be tough to think of many shows I enjoyed more than this one. Very lucky to have attended this one.0

May have been some mistakes, but at least Ed remembered how Porch starts off this time.CharlieP said:I like when PJ play Oslo because it obviously allows them to experiment because of the rather subdued crowd or if the venue hasn't sold out (which clearly was the case last night). Thank you for a very intense and (unexpected) great show outside of Oslo in quite a strange venue
this was my last show on the European Leg - see you in the US this fall0 -
Can't believe they played RVM, Sad AND Last Kiss - and thats just three of many in a setlist that was extremely unpredictable :-) By the way - does anyone have an audio recordings of Ed talking after Corduroy that can be traded according to Foum Posting Guidelines? I know Ill have it in the bootleg but its a long wait ;-)0

Amazing night!!
And greetings to everyone on Mike's side - we had a good thing going there with only a few black sheep trying to weasle in and ruin the mood. I brought my dad (60) to the shows in Stockholm and Oslo. He has not stopped talking about the shows and is ecstatic! There were italians, swedes, americans, etc. in our section and everyone was so cool. Except for a few of my fellow norwegians who were a bit of a problem for a while, but we got rid of them together.0
