GENERAL ADMISSION PIT LINE
1. On the day of the show, sequentially numbered wristbands will be distributed beginning at 2:00 PM at the gate. Wristbands will be distributed until 5:00 PM.
2. A starting number will be randomly picked at 5:15 PM; this will be announced and displayed on a placard at the gate. No more wristbands will be distributed after 5:00 PM.
3. 5:30 PM - All fans with GA tickets and a wristband should begin lining-up in numerical order, beginning with the announced number. The line will be escorted into the GA Pit Area in front of the stage approximately 10 minutes before the rest of the patrons are allowed to enter the venue.
4. One wristband per patron and the patron must also be in possession of a GA ticket.
5. A wristband and a GA ticket are required to enter the GA Pit Area in front of the stage.
6. The starting number will be drawn randomly at 5:15 PM by a fan. The fan holding the wristband that matches the starting number drawn will be first in line (i.e. if #'s 1 - 100 were issued and number 10 was drawn, the line would start with 10, then 11, 12, 13 through 100 then 1-9). When the starting number is announced, the line will shift accordingly.
7. The purpose of the random number distribution is to insure that all fans have the same chance of being first in line, eliminating the need to camp out. This policy also helps to insure customer safety and provides for an effective means of crowd control.
9. Anyone who receives a numbered wristband between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM has a chance to be first in line to enter the Pit Area, but a wristband does not guarantee a place in the Pit Area.
10. Wristbands will be issued and affixed to the patron’s wrist only after the patron's ticket has been verified a GA ticket.
NO WRISTBANDS WILL BE ISSUED AT THE GA PIT ENTRANCE ON THE FLOOR WITHIN THE VENUE.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT
NO PATRON, FAN, OR CLUB RUN LIST WILL BE HONORED BY TOUR PERSONNEL, SECURITY OR BUILDING PERSONNEL!
The above procedures will be implemented and supervised by touring personnel.

I can't wait to hear if it has an impact as well. Unfortunately, many people will not change their behavior unless there is a negative consequence. Hopefully, this is will help put an end to the "ridiculist".

Exactly. None of this "Oh, I was here for ten minutes at midnight and fifteen minutes at six AM, so I should be able to waltz right up past people who were here non-stop since 8:30 AM.

NOW...a list should do one thing: Keep proof of the line in the case the line has to be moved to another area. This way, people can get back in line in the same exact order. Likewise, if someone has to leave for a QUICK MOMENT if they have to pee or get food, they can get back in their same spot..but a quick moment is exactly that...15 minutes tops. Get back in line for another 3-4 hours then take another quick break.

A line is like work. Don't expect to show up to work at 8 AM, take a 2-hour coffee break, come back to your desk for 15 minutes, take an hour lunch, then work for an hour and expect to be paid for a full day's work...it doesn't happen that way.

agree. the list idea is fair, but a lot of selfish people take advantage of their fellow fans. the list is there for a 15 minute food or bathroom break. an hourly roll call would help.

When did this email go out? Was it to all ten club?

Gets me fired up and I have yet to wait in a GA line!!!!

The letter was handed out by what I assume was 10C/Pearl Jam crew to the 10C line in Stockholm. Im so happy this looks like its coming to an end. It has seriously pissed me and many others off all tour! So glad to see this thread (I would have made my own now that I returned from touring)!

This is all about a few people like having authority and "being someone" in the PJ community and saving good spots while not having to do the time in the line. To me these people are going against the spirit of the band, and theyre creating unnecessary tension in a great community of fans.

I told these people at today's Stockholm show exactly what I thought about this whole bs system when I got to the venue. Of course they didnt agree, thats because they were in charge of the list. I later heard that at the Stockholm show there were people getting a number the day before and going for sleep in the hotel. Like WTF?!

The arguments they made for having the list is that otherwise people will cut the line. Who the fuck cuts the line in the 10C queue?? Ive made friends for life in that queue, 99% of us would never do that to a fellow fan! And if there is someone cutting the line, you do the same thing you do in all the other lines you stand in in life, you tell them to go to the back.

I also mentioned to the "list owners" about the 10C email that went out, and they tried to interpret that as it was not at all 10C saying it was a bad thing. These were English speaking people, still obviously they coudlnt understand a simple message from the fan club. Or could it be they think their interests are more important?

I asked what would happen if I didnt want a number and sat down in the queue, could I then tell all the people with numbers coming later that they couldnt go infront of me in the line? No, of couse they were allowed to pass me they said. Isnt that a bit weird. I mean, people can get before me in line because of their unofficial self made queing system?

Another question is how should you know that you need to get a number, and from who? At some of the shows the number guy (or girl) have not been easy to find. So instead of just getting in line, you have to run around looking for some self-proclaimed line manager!

I hope these people realise they created a lot of anger in the community. Oh, and sorry for the long rant, this has just seriously pissed me off!

Really? Because I find it impossible to believe that 10c would threaten to kick people.out of 10c for something they are doing outside a venue. Or that they wouldn't do something good to show people that it's an official statement.
