I've lined up 16 consecutive nights of concerts for this years summer vacation, including 3 QOTSA shows in a row.

    July 8th Ottawa
    July 9th Montreal
    July 10th Quebec City

I tried to hold out as long as I could, hoping against hope that PJ would announce something, anything... we all know how that goes.

In a weird way I get the point she is making, her musical output is so sporadic and ranging in quality that nothing but the best will be considered decent. Probably not a great idea to take a swipe at Queens though given how revered they are by critics and fans - she's just asking for abuse.

Wow, I'm pretty impressed by your attempt here. Looks amazing and I'm jealous but I have to admit I don't think I could pull it off, from a physical stamina standpoint. In that last week you've got QOTSA 3 nights in a row, then Soundgarden back to back? Are you gonna get ear fatigue? Seriously man, if you had a blog or something I would follow it to see how this goes. Good luck and I hope you have a good time and enjoy the music.

Hey circlesdown, I just wanted to let you know I wasn't trying to be rude or ignore your post. For me a huge part of being able to enjoy a vacation and run of shows like this, is being physically fit. Every winter i let myself go and gain weight, and in the spring I start to get back into shape. This winter ran straight through spring and I got a late start. My first 10k run of the year was on April 18th, and I blew out my knee. I was really devastated and depressed as a result. I couldn't even bring myself to think about my upcoming trip and shows. Hence the reason I never responded to your post.

My knee is all better now, and while I'm getting back into shape, I'm nowhere near my usual level of fitness. Despite all this, my run of shows is now 27 concerts in 23 days. The madness begins this Saturday June 21st. You mentioned a blog, which got me thinking. I wouldn't know the first thing about starting a blog, but I was thinking of starting a thread in this forum with a daily update. I'll do it for a few days, and if folks seem to want to read them, I will continue until the last concert.

Anyone heard of Unlocking the Truth? They are 13 years old and opening up for QOTSA on this tour along with Brody Dalle.

I caught QOTSA at Sasquatch, my second time seeing them and it was fantastic. Homme is on fire and that was my first time seeing John drum, freaking beast. My one complaint is that they ended their set 15 minutes early but I'd definitely check them out again as I still haven't heard Song for The Deaf live yet. I hear The Kills are opening for them now ,that would be a brilliant show.

Yes, 104.5. Now i have to hope my son doesn't have a baseball game, because I'm the coach as well. I've never seen them and haven't been to the Mann in a long time.
