Go starts off a strong opening for the final BDO show with Evolution and Last Exit to follow. Last Exit is slightly off both vocally and musically, not the best performance of the song. Animal is excellent. The quick tempo continues with an ok performance of Mind Your Manners and excellent performances of Corduroy and Lightning Bolt. Small Town gives everyone (including Ed) to catch their breath. Faithfull is dedicated to the fans who got there early; there is a cool drum part Matt plays in the middle. I don't know if something went wrong but it sounds nonetheless. Deep follows Even Flow, a couple of good performances on the Ten songs. Ed comes into Sirens late for his acoustic part. The outro singalong is pretty poor it has to be said. Getaway isn't bad but slightly rough around the edges. Lukin into Satan's Bed is simply awesome. I actually thought they were just going into Not For You and then a little guitar chord into Satan's Bed had me very very surprised!! It has to be said it isn't the best performance of Satan's Bed (nor the worst, that will always belong too State College) but it's still good to hear. An excellent Rearviewmirror brings the main set to an end.

The encore starts off with Throw Your Arms Around Me. Ed gets the crowd to sing Happy Birthday to Boom. Boom then has the chance to shine on Crazy Mary. Comatose is a strange choice between CM and Given To Fly. Black is perfect. Ed starts Porch as Black is just finishing. It's an excellent Porch it has to be said, the jam really cool and Stone letting that riff loose to full effect. Win Butler of Arcade Fire joins the band to share vocals on Rockin' In The Free World. RIFTW brings the tour to a close.

I'd probably rank this as my favourite BDO boot, totally loved the main set.

The classic opening combo, Go-Animal, gets the show moving on a ferocious start. Ed's vocals are a hair bit shaky on Go, but still quite decent. Animal is as strong as any typical 2006 rendering (which is high praise). Stone stood out to me on these opening songs. Same goes for WWS that follows. Ed's scream in WWS is actually stronger and more forceful than many other versions. I believe he had a cold at this gig, but you can tell he is giving it his all despite the fact. Mike and Stone's tones sound quite crunchy and good for Severed Hand; a very solid take on the ‘06 staple. Hail Hail is basic perfection here, a near-flawless performance from the entire band. Stone stole the song for me though. Quite lively and strong is the version of Dissident here. It leads wonderfully into Breakerfall, a great surprise. It's an absolutely fantastic take, Ed really goes for it. Listen for Mike during the second verse of Even Flow, he is on fire. The solos from him and Matt too are just livid energy. A double dose of Vs is next with Glorified G and Small Town. The former is pretty good, but some of the guitars felt off; the latter is as dependable as always. Another surprise is Sleight of Hand to follow Small Town, they pair nicely together. It's a solid play on the rarity, Jeff sounded excellent especially. Jeremy builds us back up gently. Vocally it's sort of on and off, in some parts Ed sounded amazing in others it felt he was struggling a little. Marker is one of my favorite PJ tunes. This version is ok, I've heard much better and worse takes. Some of the guitar work and transitions felt off. One of Ed's screams towards the end of Betterman was awesome. Army Reserve follows, an odd choice to me. The end riff of AR is beautiful here, Jeff and Boom shine. Satan's Bed nudges the tempo back up. I like this version a lot. Mike sounds really cool, and even the technically rough transitions made it sound more powerful. In another weird choice for flow, and peculiar way to end the main set, You Are is next. Ed slightly fumbles one line, but it's a solid rendition of the rarity.

Garden opens the first encore, and it sounds brooding and simply haunting. An excellent version of the 2006 reworked version. A beautiful Low Light follows. It feels more mellow and slow compared to the many 2013 versions. Mike adds some nice accents in this version too. Ed's vocals sound scorched in DTE, which kind of works but you can tell it's wearing thin. An average, but good, Alive ends the first encore. Last Exit and Why Go make 11th hour appearances to an appropriate effect. I enjoy those being so close to the show's conclusion, adds a lot of energy. RITFW and Ledbetter end the show. A full-band Little Wing tag is added onto Ledbetter, always a nice touch.

A good boot, but not quite on the same level as a few other 2006 boots I've recently reviewed; such as DC, Santa Barbara, and Zagreb. Still, it's a quality boot and showing from the band. There's a few small off moments, but no major flub ups. The set flow is a bit weird at times but not too distracting.

Watched the Spokane show on YouTube yesterday. Really great show with bootleg quality sound and 5 or 6 different angles. Whoever edited it did a great job. Stone sings, Jeff laughs, a lot. Dreadlocks are shaved and Mike plays the final solo of YLB to Steve Gleason with is emotional to say the least. A great way to spend 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon.
Happy up here in my tree
