GA pit layout different in 2014 vs. 2013

Check out the seating maps on Stubhub. All the GA pits show some kind of stage extension into the pit.
I did not see those on Stubhub last year.
If this is true GA will be more awesome and reserved seats will have moments when the band members are closer.
Can any out there confirm the stage extensions into the pit are true?

    I saw this on the memphis layout...I can't see PJ doing this...I don't know why but I've always viewed those catwalk extension as kinda lame

    Probably a mistake. Think it was Stubhub that was showing the heart-shaped catwalk for the Brooklyn shows last year.

    Or maybe they figured the band were about to finally deliver on their promise for "Free cookies, hearts and swirls all around". Kudos to anyone who knows what I'm talking about - otherwise, listen for it in Smile. Always makes me laugh.

    PS, I know these aren't the real lyrics. Ages ago, someone here posted that they thought those were the lyrics for the longest time, and I found it quite funny.

    Sometimes the pit is just broken up for security purposes. Extensions into the pit help security reach everyone if they need to.

    One of the sound engineers wrote in their blog that pj were toying with having a second acoustic stage set in the crowd on the last tour but ditched it. This might be a compromise

    Should have worded differently. Never at his regular arena and stadium shows. That pic was at the Super Bowl and was a much different and larger stage than his stage.
