Allison Crowe - Philosophy - 1 (uhm, no, sorry - sounds like a Cher knock-off with too much vocal gymnastics, IMHO)
Phil Collins - Against All Odds - 2 (love Genesis; solo Phil, meh)
Pearl Jam - Fuck me in the Brain - 3 (although i think it's really hot when EV curses, he used the 'c' word - not even he gets a pass for that)
Mudhoney - Sing This Song of Joy - 3 (first time hearing them)
Bryan Adams -( Everything I Do) I Do It For You - 4 (love him, just not this song)
Mudhoney - A Thousand Forms of Mind - 6
Blondie - Call Me - 4.5 (grade school revisited)
Dido - Thank You - 7
Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time - 8
Traffic - 40,000 Headmen - 9
PJ Harvey - Good Fortune - 4
Sorry I wasn't on here with you at 2:00am TWTM (yes, you've been abbreviated), I was playing bingo online. Which would you prefer Marc Keele or Clay Aiken?
Zwan - Declaration of Faith - 7 (you ARE trying! Sounds like Gallagher from Oasis (was gonna say the drunk brother, but that would be redundant) with a psychedelic flair, which is all good in my book. I even like the cover art. \:D/ )
Some spiritual rejuvenation (for me at least)http://youtu.be/i5GMHzPeEyA

First - you forgot to put a rating next to Zwan. (Are you saying you think that Zwan's singer sounds like Oasis too?) .
The Trypes - Undecipherable Greek Song Title - 5.5 (The one thing that is off-putting is that the singer doesn't sing and since it's a foreign language, it's hard to tell how his words are impacting the song. I loved 3:08 to the end esp, the lead guitarist - it sounds like he could wail if he just let go and i got a wee bit of that here. )http://youtu.be/HLobSQlet3s

''it's hard to tell how his words are impacting the song''.. i have to thought about that..i think his problem is the final ''s'' on the words..
yes i forgot..Zwan 7
Fleetwood mac 3..sorry i don't like them at all
one more of Trypes and i swear its the last..http://youtu.be/YUn5N3dG0fM

WTM, as far as PJ Harvey goes, any album will do, but "Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea" won the Mercury Prize, and for good reason. It is great.
Zwan - Declaration of Faith 5 (Cutz, Zwan are the band Billy Corgan created briefly after the Smashing Pumpkins. I'm glad someone else remembers them, I saw them live and it was the loudest show I've ever been to, weirdly:)
Van Morrison - Tupelo Honey>7.5 That was great.
Τρύπες - Εδώ>5
Fleetwood Mac-Landslide 5, (speaking of Smashing Pumpkins, I love their cover so much, which is why I don't fully appreciate this! This song is so overplayed at least where I live, that it is not my favorite, but I've always thought the lyrics were beautiful:)
Τρυπες - Κεφαλι 5 (It's ok about Trypes! I kind of like them. And, this is what the thread is for, post all you like! I'm sure people are sick of Nick Cave too, but if they don't like it, they don't have to listen, lol)
Rush - Entre Nous 3
PJ - Alternate Jeremy 8 Nice
Thanks for the Van Morrison reminder, this is one of my favorite Dylan covers:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdb_3H-28dE

Van Morrison - It's All Over Now (Baby Blue) - 5.5 (so young!) And you're welcome for the VM reminder - it was my pleasure.
Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock - 7.5http://youtu.be/ODvMNER2w40

Billy Joel-Angry Young Man>6.5
One of the few songs i like from BS & TESB:http://youtu.be/upWttjG49Fk

As you probably read by now, the lead singer for Zwan is Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins.
Cool, I will sample some more of her songs! I need more female artists in my music library : )curlygirly9 said:WTM, as far as PJ Harvey goes, any album will do, but "Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea" won the Mercury Prize, and for good reason. It is great.
