    Hey guys,

Please PM me if you have an extra ticket to either show. A pair will work as well.

    Thanks!

Wish I could help you out. We didn't win 10C reserved for either show and had to go the hated ticket master route... but just happy to be in the building,

I just cant wait to see the shows Back-to-Back nights... I have a feeling the first show will be amazing in its own ways, then the feeling of "Holy Shit we get to see them again, what do I expect the second show?!" Cant wait for that moment.

I wound up splitting my stay in Amsterdam between 2 hotels. The two nights before the PJ show I'm staying near the Museums because that's the primary thing I want to see, then the two nights OF the PJ shows I'm staying in that overpriced chain hotel near the ziggo dome. I figured the extra $$ would be worth not having to deal with the exodus back into the city both nights, especially since I'm flying mid afternoon after the last show.

Traveling back to the Center after the show won't be a big issue. Between the Trains, Metro, etc.. you won't have to wait. Went to a sold out Ajax match last year and it was not a big deal. Unlike here in the US, they actually have public transportation that works... By the way, most of the underground Metro is brand spanking new.. only 5 miles from Station Bijlmer ArenA to Centraal Station.

Not much in the way of Night Life and no coffeeshops in the Bijlmer ArenA / Ziggo Dome area. There is an outdoor shopping area and a few restaurants on the opposite side of the Arena from Ziggo, but most of it looked like it closed early.

Amsterdam ArenA may be a few kilometres away from the city centre but it is easy to reach by public transport. Among other things, ArenA is home to its very own Train and Metro (subway) station named Bijlmer ArenA. Unlike the Metro stops in the centre which are underground, this particular station is above ground. Station Bijlmer ArenA is 10 stops from Amsterdam Central Station, but you can also catch a line from Nieuwmarkt and Waterlooplein.

I'm not an expert on Amsterdam, but having been there twice in the last 2 years gives me at least a good tourist point of view.

My #1 advice would be to check out AIRBNB.com for apartments. It's very common in Amsterdam for people rent out apartments for short stays and you can find some really amazing deals. Most of them are set up for tourist, making it a very easy process. Having done both, hotel and apartment, we will never go back and stay in a hotel again. Find a place near a tram and you won't regret it.

Definitely stay in the city. No need to stay by the Ziggo Dome. It's an easy metro in and out. After the show you'll be in no man's land. In terms of flying, city center is ideal to get to the main train station which runs trains out to the airport.

3rd. plus if those ziggo area hotels are jacking up the rates, it seems like another reason to NOT stay in that area. theres lots of ways back via public transportation, just follow the masses, or if you save a bunch staying in central ams, just take a taxi for an easy way to go back.

It's already booked. I have to pick up 10c tickets on the first show anyway, so it's not like i'd have been able to do any sightseeing that day/afternoon before the show anyway. The 2nd show if it's that easy to get into the city I can go back for some final sightseeing and food in the afternoon and get back to ziggo 20 minutes before showtime as I've got a seated ticket.
I still think I'd rather have the short walk back to collapse in bed after the show than 'the masses' all up in my way on the train back into the city! If I was only doing one show I wouldn't have done this, but since I'm doing both I think it was the right decision for me.

You're thinking like a New Yorker on the transportation system... plus a 10 minute metro full of Pearl Jam fans going back to the Centrum just sounds like a blast... but it's always best to do whats best for you.

My wife and I are going to both shows as well. I honestly can't think of one good reason to stay in the sanitized/industrial suburbs when you're in one of the most amazing cities in the world.

I've read the Bijlmer area used to be of the highest crime areas in Amsterdam. Maybe a local can chime it... but I know I read something about it.. I know I felt safer in the Centrum.

i love pearl jam, and id love to be up front, its awesome energy and an amazing time, but having ga tix, i am gonna have to sit this one out from being super close. id rather enjoy a great city then go see pj from a little farther back then sit in a line all day. theres plenty of nondescript cities that i can go see pj in and spend all day hanging in line with peeps (i wont name them as im sure to insult someone!).

if it is your first time in the DAM and your in town for a limited amount of time and wait in line all day to try for front row you are a FOOL. (sorry for the harshness) Amsterdam is way too nice a city to waste 16 hours of prime time sitting in a line.

Anyone going to the Trieste show? We're skipping Milan and spending a couple days in Paris, then train from Paris--to-- Milan--to--Venice...then rent a car at the Venice Airport the morning of the Trieste show and drive the 160km/100 miles to Stadio Nereo Rocco.

Seeing Pearl Jam in A'Dam, then in Italy is a dream come true.. wow still can't believe we are doing it!

Pretty known site, sorta of a world stubhub.. I've never used them personally, but have a couple friends that have had good results. Like stub hub, it's a clearing house for private sellers with Viagogo charging fees.

What seems a little fishy is that even with electronic tickets you can't get them until the week leading up to the show. Seems if it is electronic you should get it instantly, like stubhub.

i used them a few years back for radiohead and it was ok one time, another time it was email tickets and took right until the end to get them. "the seller is waiting on the box office" i was told, and it seemed like the seller just takes as much time to go and get the tickets (basically selling short) and if not theyll give you your money back if you dont get them last minute.
