Thanks for that. Unfortunately, given the circumstances, my memory is a little hazy. I do want to go to France now more than ever, though.

Yeah I think I prefer to make my own choice on what I consume. I would like the option to pay more for real sugar or real corn rather than not have the option. Science is bitchin but I'm not a fan of everything being fake/engineered.

Chad what is your opinion on bees - friends or stingy pests?

I completely agree that food should be labelled as GM btw. I just think that GMOs are very often demonized for the wrong reasons, that's all. But also, I think of genetically modified animals in a much different way than I do genetically modified produce. I don't think that people should be genetically modifying anything that walks or swims! Not for the health of the people eating the animals, but because I think it's just fucked up and creepy to screw with a living animal's natural state of physical existence. I'm not so sensitive about plants. We fuck with them all the time anyway, and they don't have brains and eyeballs. :P

"And I begged, 'Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?' And the angel said unto me, 'These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots! You see, Reverend Maynard, tomorrow is harvest day and to them it is the holocaust.' And I sprang from my slumber drenched in sweat like the tears of one million terrified brothers and roared, 'Hear me now, I have seen the light! They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul! Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!' Can I get an amen? Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you Jesus."

all things have a spirit. of course many will laugh at me & tell jokes but i stand my ground. plants & trees & rain/water have a life force going on. even stones

so guess what? that is what i believe.

I agree everything has a "life force" (or whatever one wants to call it - I call it being a part of the natural order) and is a part of the big picture. I mean, plants are alive. They reproduce, turn to the sun, process energy, etc.... but something being a part of the web doesn't exclude it from the food chain, since you'd die. ;)

By consuming something you are harnessing its power it once had.

Should sporting events do away with the National anthem? I'm not talking about the Olympics. I'm talking hockey, football, baseball and basketball, among others. What's the point?

Without that, most people in North America won't even know the lyrics to their own national anthem within 10 years. I say keep it (especially because I always enjoy singing it. I don't really care what the song actually is. I just like it when 17,000 people all stand up and sing anything together, like they always do for the Canadian anthem at Canucks games. :)

I love the USA but the Canadian National Anthem is a better song, imo.

Chad, have you filed with the NBA now that the Clippers look to have an upcoming opening at Owner position? They could use some enlightened thought.

Well that sucks. In Vancouver everyone belts it out. It's fun. :) Better than getting rid of the anthem, how about somehow getting everyone to start singing it? That would be way better.

With all of that said you would still be a better owner than that piece of filth. The league could use you! (I might even watch then...while I enjoyed playing basketball in high school and I enjoy watching March Madness I do not watch any other basketball during the course of the typical year.)

What about boxing? Are you more into 'wrasslin' -- that is a big sport in Iowa, right?

i suppose basketball is acceptable for folks to play. preparing for boxing is a great workout. my two brothers & me joined the boxing club here a long time ago. i was in it from 3rd grade - 7th or 8th grade. which means my youngest brother was 13 weeks old when he was in it.

i guess iowa is into wrasslin. im not but i do hear folks going on about it.

i like the following sports: playing croquet, throwing running lawnmowers off roofs, stealing christmas tree lights in the winter, throwing apples at garage doors at night, getting lost, telling police fairy tales, building large wooden, & finally running cars across town in reverse

then yes i should be the new owner of whatever team it is that needs me. thank you for your vote, sir. & may you have yourself a wonderful day. you'll know it's on when you get your free lifelong tickets in the mail.

    GO whatever team this is!
