Ghost, St. Paul 2003. Ed flubs the lyrics pretty good.

Ed's complete butchering of the first few verses of Who You Are at Alpine really was too bad. He began the song singing verses that come much later on in the song, and flubbing and flubbing some of the lyrics. He recovered later, but would have been nice had he completely nailed it there!

Still the best live band in in the world.

You can say mistakes happen in a live setting, but man, ed has been killing them the last few years. How does he not know the words to sirens, or future days? Those are new song less then a year old! Those are just two examples, but there are so many more.

Father's Son had a rough takeoff live, but that was mostly due to the guys with the guitars. Haha!!

Two recent ones that popped-up on my iPod shuffle recently: Down at Bonnaroo and Not for you from Amsterdam 1 last year. I was at both shows and don't mind. I like that they keep the setlists mixed and have the balls to play songs that may be out of their comfort zone because they aren't in the normal rotation. It's part of the charm of a PJ show. I will take a few fuck-ups over a show where every note is choreographed and the setlist is predictable.

I think it's amazing that he remembers as much as he does, to be honest.

  • You have to see Ed sprint to the mic once he realizes he's buggered things up. It happens right at the start of the song around the 0:15 mark

    It's classic.

  • I'm not sure if a video/clip exists but I'm sure we've all heard Satan's Bed at Penn State '03. Could be one of the worst, but I would take hearing that version to never hearing the song live.

Wash from Pitt 2000 although its a very spontaneous performance sort of in the vain if Satans Bed at State College. Unthought Known from Bklyn 2 is butchered by Ed. And there's nothing better than Sometimes from I believe San Fran 06. " I forgot the fuckin song". Classic.

I was just talking to a friend about this, I find it humanizing and endearing that Eddie muffs minimum of one track every show. Most are simple errors that don't really affect anything.

Big miss for Sirens at BK1 (Ed says that this will be on the new record PJ's Greatest Misses).

Also, Satan's revenge in Philly this year.

Too bad Ed didnt have to sing Fernando at any of the shows I attended this year.

Rats at Calgary 2013. That whole version is an error. Ed's timing is way off and it starts to throw off the other guys 1/4 of the way through.
