Well, scratch a Pearl Jam/Neil Young double bill for a Labour Day festival in Moncton. Looks like they will be in Europe around that time.

one bump for the fun of it all
two bumps for the good times

  • sweet Jesus, I don't believe I'm finally able to write this post. I've moved, and nothing is the same anymore, including my internet connection - which is now defunct. Please note name mutation (p.s.: I wasn;t trying to be cool, I'm waaaayyy too old for that) Lanners, sorry to hear about your dad. Its never easy.

As for the poster at the T.O. concert, don't worry, i haven't forgotten. Halifax will be represented. Maybe in Dublin too !!

Also noticed the tour schedule which leaves the band with a month off between the final N.A. gig, and the first European show. That's a long time off, gee, how will they ever fill that time ?! wink, wink nudge, nudge.

First of all, Lanners, word has it you are coming up to T.O. for the May 10th gig. Care to comment ?

Secondly, I astound myself at how stupid i am. Fuck me, there seems to be no bounds to it !!!! I changed my name b/c I thought for some bizarre inexplicable reason that I needed to have a personal computer that the website would "recognize". Since i moved and I'm not using my old computer, I thought it wouldn't recognize who I am. I never realized i could simply log in from anywhere and at anytime. OMG, I'll never get to Ireland, I'm too fucking stupid. Thank God i have no children.

Yes, the Halifax placard thing is foremost in my mind. Not to worry. As for Dublin, I dunno, its sold out and it seems that tickets are looking pretty tight. If I get there I'll freak the boys out with another "come to Halifax" sign. Hey, you never know, something weird could happen in thst month off that they have.

I hope you are well. I'm real sorry to hear about your dad. What is there to say....? Just look after yourself. Ever been to Ireland ?!
  • ireland is heaven on earth! :) as a maritimer you'll be greeted very well!

OMG would i ever love to go to T.O. for the show May 10, however, it is a lie. I will not be there. If i win the Super7 jackpot this weekend i will be at every show on the tour, domestic and abroad! ;) otherwise, no, on my sad little civil servant wages i can't go much further than my backyard these days.

Thanks for the concern Truth...i'm hanging in there...one day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time. Going back to work was the hardest thing, considering i deal with death all day. D'oh!

Have i been to Ireland? Nope. I haven't travelled much...been to all three of the Maritime provinces, Montreal and Bangor. That's the extent of my travels. I think you should go to Ireland--if you can--so i can live vicariously through you and we can spread the word and get another show in Halifax!

No, if you win the big one, **WE** are going to every gig, domestic and abroad. Hehehe.

I saw this in the Toronto Star the other day and thought it was kinda odd.....it was an article about Halifax donairs and where to get them in toronto. the best place was supposed to be at yonge and dundas. About the Halifax sweet version, the owner says: "its not my type because I don't like sweet things, but people who like it really like it." Now, doesn't that remind you of a certain slogan for a certain beer ? I see a weird Nova Scotia-Keith's-donair thread thing happening here. Somehow we'll have to drive a few donairs into the boys when they hit T.O., thereby rendering them helpless re: any plans to revisit Halifax. They'll be hooked and will have no choice but to show up at King of Donair and the Metro Centre for a rockin' all-nighter(as previously promised).

    Or, I'm simply baked.......

i lived in blissful donair ignorance until my best friend moved to montreal a few years back. he used to get me to send sweet donair sauce to him in care packages because he didn't like the non-sweet sauce. i just couldn't fathom donairs without it! it just wouldn't be a donair!

so are we going to call this new plan you've hatched OPERATION: DONAIR?
    OPERATION: KEITH'S?
OPERATION: BREATH SO BAD YOUR OWN MAMA WOULDN'T KISS YOU?
