Picked up a GREAT flat file to store all of my posters a few weeks back!!

    image

It was just sitting on the loading dock at work and they were about to throw it in the recycled metals bin!!
Finally got it cleaned up and the file drawers labeled!!

    image

It's the PERFECT size for gig posters and it's pretty full already :-c

    image

That's a pretty nice score!! Free? Even better!!!

Here's another couple more I picked up yesterday. Four under the bed yet, a few on the way and two more at the framers. This is turning out to be such an expensive hobby.

I hear ya! I've just gotten the bug myself. My first one is currently being framed (Amsterdam 2, 2012), one is being dropped off at a framer probably this coming weekend (Antwerp 2006). One poster arrived today (Philly 1, 2013, after paying quite a bit on customs charges :( ).
And I just ordered two more from the shop, now also getting posters for shows I went to, but don't like very much (the posters that is, for Amsterdam 1, 2012 and Oakland, 2013).

Though I fear that my holy grail will be out of my hands for quite a while. Or otherwise only for a hefty price. That's Honolulu, 2006, the show they opened for U2.

Damn you, Pearl Jam and your addictive posters!!!

    :p

I posted a "Sneak Peek" of this poster last week...
Now here's the finished Band of Horses Acoustic Tour poster:

    image

The frame has a nice leaf design to play off of the trees on the poster and Julia did an antique gold fillet inside the frame...
She also put in a small white matte to set the poster a little farther back in the frame:

    image

Here's a shot of the 2 Band Of Horses posters hanging together:

    image

And here's another "Sneak Peek" at my next project...
the Pendulum poster from the Worcester show by Brad Klausen:

    image

Julia just finished the bottom matte today...
so this one is gonna take a few weeks!!
These were both gifts from 2 of the BEST PJ BROTHERS a guy could have...
Thanks Joe & Brandon for the gifts...they are gonna look GREAT in my home!!

The two BOH prints are absolutely stunning Dave! The frames do 100% justice to the art and vice versa. Really impressed by the craftsmanship. I may be happy with my own simplistic approach but I've got to say thanks for coming in and shitting all over the competition and wiping your ass on our receipts... 8-X

Thanks Buddy...I appreciate the kind words!!
I love the simple black frames too and use that approach for all of the posters from the shows I attend.
I use the same black frame and do a black top matte with a colored core PLUS one or two accent color mattes under the top matte.
I display ALL of these posters in my bedroom
For posters from shows that I didn't attend but really like for the art...
PLUS my AP's, tour posters, or gifts from others, I like to do special frame jobs & these hang in my living room or hallway!!

Here's a link to a Photobucket "Story" of some of my more recent frame jobs...
you can see that I'm a BIG fan of the black frame look too:

I don't really look at this as a "competition" though...
just a place all of us "Poster Freaks" can come and see what everyone else is doing with their frame jobs!!
And NEXT time...I'll try to clean up my mess when I leave!!

Looks amazing, especially with that autograph! Just had to over pay for one of these, but love the print, so I couldn't resist.

I had seen most of these before, but just wow! When you see them all together like that it is even more amazing! It is hard to pick a favorite, but I think I will go with the Columbus dinosaur one, especially its placement of honor! LOLOLOLOL!

Such a cool walk through your PJ history!

Got my Wrigley Mural delivered today. Couldn't be happier with the end result. Triple mat (black, orange, then blue) with a silhouette of each character cut out in each corner. Pretty amazed by the job the framer did.

This shows the use of the layering of the three mats pretty well.

Wow! That is amazing with those cut outs! Makes mine look just ordinary. Mind if I ask where you are? I'd love to be able to take some of mine to your framer!

I actually live in IL but got this framed in CA. Even with shipping it still ran a lil less than another recent job.

I would highly recommend using this place. Downside is you go in not knowing what the result will look like outside of it turning out great. Online place is FrameFetish.com and is run by a guy named Link. He will call to discuss specifics prior. I was a bit worried about having it shipped but all turned out well and I couldn't be more pleased. If you want more specifics pm me.

Thanks, aj! I'll check out the website and probably PM you as well. Just acquired some rare posters, including Maui 1998, but am hesitant to send it away...
