Robb Flynn of Machine Head gives PJ a lot of love in a recent posting (in the middle of bitching about the industry).

It was the Oakland show he went too, which was another amazing setlist from PJ.

  • I read this the other day and it is a brilliant piece.
I used to Love Machine Head in the 90's, well up to the more things change......Burning red was a wet blanket.

He definitely touches on some important points and I find myself agreeing with him on almost all of it

Maybe that "spark" he's looking for could be this new vinyl movement? Lots of new music out there. Enjoy it now before they run it into the ground.

    New vinyl movement?

I think he was talking about the music and not the format

Yes but the format may get people to enjoy the music more. There is more intimacy with vinyl.
What I am getting at is this (vinyl) might get people interested in music more?

Totally agree (except he forgot that Wrigley in fact did let them play until past 2am just last summer ;) ). It's depressing. The venues should be making a point of making the fans - the people who keep their venues in existence - happy!! And might want to keep in mind that they are there because people are trying to keep life FUN.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
