I am not sure if even this is in the right place on the forum and if it is not i am So soo sorry. I can change it or you can delete it...eep! But i had to share this with everyone. I had been struggling for 8 years of my life with a horrible disfiguring and painful medical condition and was home bound for over 3 years unable to move or do anything with my life. Well this last year, in october i finally made the decision to have my leg amputated in hopes of getting my life back. I struggled through months of painful physical therapy to get back to the point where i would get to learn to walk again,...and today is the day...i got my complete finished prosthetic...and took my first few steps...towards a new life. I put the stickman on my prosthetic as tribute to the band...the one band that has changed my life...the one thing that got me through the pain of surgery and the struggles and pain of therapy...their music blasted during therapy sessions and i put on those headphones and would breath through the pain. Their music has been my saving grace ever since i can remember so i coudnt have thought of anything better than the design for my new leg than to put a piece of art that would always remind me of what got me through the process of becoming an amputee.

This is my new leg!

    Wow! I don't know what to say other than you have inspired me today. I'm a therapist working in rehab often with amputees. I wish I could be your therapist. We would be rocking out together through your therapy sessions! Keep putting one foot in front of the other and before you know it, you'll be running!
