    Well, I think he was just trying to cut Fiona some slack as they were all to blame.
    I can definitely see Lipp's frustration though. He finally got his shit and life together, his family was doing better with Fiona having a good job then this happens.
    I think it's going to be interesting to see this show without Frank. In reality even if they found a new liver for him, he wouldn't be able to withstand/survive a liver transplant. That said, I also think they've taken a lot of the show off of him this year...building up other characters...so I don't think it'll be that much of a loss story-wise.

    You think that Frank will really die? My wife and I were debating that after watching Sunday's episode. It would be weird to have this show without the scumbag patriarch of the Gallagher family. The Rod Stewart port-a potty comment had me laughing my ass off.

    Also just saw today that they renewed this for season 5...great news.

    Have you seen the commercial for next week's episode? I think the new daughter has been making Frank sicker so that she can get that money from the insurance company and maybe she took a policy out on him.
    I do feel for Fiona, but Lip is being a dumb shit. I half expected them to go to Jimmy/Steve's dad for the bail money. I hope Fiona tells her ex/boss that it was his brother who left that coke there and that he somehow takes the fall to keep Fiona out of jail.

    Well, I suppose anything is possible. In reality, Frank couldn't possibly live at this point....but it's TV so who knows? It would be sad to see him go. Despite being a total scumbag, he's a great character!
    What I love about this show is how they can make things so emotional but not make it over the top. You really care for every character and the acting is amazing!

    I haven't. I turn off all shows before it gets to that. I HATE previews! hahahaha
    I can see her trying to off Frank. I did notice she keeps feeding him something. When he was in the wheelchair she put something in his mouth. That said, its interesting that she really wanted him to go to hospice where he didn't. He'd def live longer under hospice care so we'll see how that pans out.
    I actually sympathize with Lipp. Yeah, maybe he can tone it down a bit....but I just see him as someone who cares so much of his family and the one solid guarantee he had...the one thing he always knew he could trust....Fiona completely fucked up. They were in the best spot they'd probably ever been in, fought hard to get there and one stupid mistake could cost the family tens of thousands in legal fees, Lipp dropping out of school to take care of the kids and them falling right back where they were.

    Why the fuck would Fiona NOT rat out the brother-guy? The guy is a piece of shit, he has a record....this could all be a slap on the wrist. I'd rat out anyone in order to protect my family....especially that guy!
    I also don't get why what's-his-face (ex boyfriend, boss guy) bailed her out. Why drop 10k on someone who cheated on you, and someone he "never wants to see again"? He didn't know why she was there. He didn't know it was his brother's coke...ne has no reason to bail her out whatsoever.

    you know that's a really good point about ex/boss (as he shall now be named) why on earth WOULD he have posted bail for her? maybe the cups are a front for drug distribution? :D And I kinda do get why Fionia didn't wanna name him to her public defender. there's that whole "rat" thing. Even though the guy is a doushebag supreme and she chased him out of her house with a baseball bat, turning "rat" and "snitching" on him to the cops to save her own ass is something that she's probably internalized as being 'wrong'. Remember, mca, Snitches get Stitches!

    No...Showtime just renewed it for a 5th season. This is one of Showtime's most popular shows...I don't think it's going away anytime soon.

    Yeah, I suppose. To me though, it's one think to be a snitch but it's something completely bigger to go to jail for 5 years and leave a family behind who has no one else.
    A dbag getting busted or an entire family going to foster care or worse? Seems like a pretty easy choice to me.

    i agree, and I hope that is ultimately the choice she makes, or that he hears about this from his brother and hands over his dealer in exchange for her freedom. But i also kind of do hope that ex/boss is the source of the drugs and using the cup company as a front. Because that would be funny.

    I'm also looking forward to ian's storyline playing out. He REALLY needs to come home now.

    And somehow it kind of made all the parents feel better because he pointed out that their kids are gonna do better than his. I haven't watched the original version of this show, so I don't know what happens - but i really REALLY hope somehow Frank gets a new liver or whatever at the last minute so he can stick around. Show won't be the same without him.

    I haven't watched the UK series either but I do know that it's in like season 12 and the Dad is still around so maybe they will save Frank somehow.

    Yeah, I highly doubt they are going to let Frank die. I'm sure there will be some miracle at the end of the season and he ends up with a new liver.
