Should be fine as long as they stay dry and covered.

    I don't know but I wouldn't.
  • A year may well pass without incident, but I would prefer a different option.
It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.

    If it's dry, you're good

  • I'm in Denver, renting for a year until we learn our way around and find a house to buy. Don't really want to unpack them if I'm going to repack them in a year.
  • I lived in Colorado for 14 years, so take this with a grain of salt, but I would not leave them in the garage. You risk exposing them to water damage (burst pipes, weird snow drifts, collapsing roofs), critter damage (raccoons, rats, bugs) or just general garage funk. Ask me how I know! I'd feel much better stashing them in a spare bedroom or closet.
If I knew where it was, I would take you there....

    NO NO NON NONO,

Think about this: Humidity is evil to posters, air fluctuations, temperature changes, possible mold waiting to happen. Even if wrapped. Woods and metals may expand/contract in the heat changes, may cause some glass to break. bugs could still find their way in, mice may eat through the boxes. A lot of ifs for all the money spent. I would not risk it. You may have no issues at all, but are the odds of anything happen worth trying?
  • there aren't any pipes in the garage. its a two story, wanted to put them in the crawl space on the second level.

How is insulation up there? If it is hot in the summer in the attic, the heat near a roof in the summer will be insane. Warping of wood, and bad for the paper.
  • There isn't any insulation
  • seems risky storing that kind of investment in an uninsulated part of your home... what's wrong with leaving the posters stored as they are in the corner of the dining room? or in any part of the home with low traffic. at least there, they would be in an air conditioned environment.

  • Haven't made space for them in the house yet with all the boxes. They are sitting packed in the garage with our other art
