Soon Forget isn't last and Parting Ways isn't a uke song?

Still, I agree with your point. But another feather in Lost Dog's cap.

Where was that said? At one point on the Synergy forum way back they had a tenative tracklist that included it & Fatal. I remember when LD came out plugging all the songs from that era into a playlist. Worked well - gotta dig that up again..

Do you mean this tracklist? I have this saved as a playlist on my iPod, I like it but Education sounds strange as the last song. I much prefer Parting Ways in that spot.

    1. Breakerfall
    2. Insignificance
    3. Evacuation
    4. Letter to the Dead
    5. Rival
    6. Grievance
    7. Light Years
    8. Of the Girl
    9. Thin Air
    10. Nothing as It Seems
    11. Fatal
    12. Sleight of Hand
    13. Soon Forget
    14. In the Moonlight
    15. Parting Ways
    16. Education

    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”

Some awesome b-sides from Binaural. Sad was one of them. But personally, I think Soon Forget juxtaposes Sleight of Hand perfectly.

So are the instrumentals on TB2k. Thunderclap, and 2 others. All Binaural era songs. The whole set of songs are rad.

I think the "these songs don't fit" excuse was put put for the Riot Act bsides, Down and Undone.

I personally love Binaural, as is. The extras that were cut are among my favorite, but I think they made the right choice in the songs they selected. Makes for a more varied, yet cohesive listen.

I love Sad, but Binaural is perfect just the way it is, and I love having Sad on Lost Dogs.

What do you mean? What's the Sirens treatment? .... didn't most detractors not like it because they think Sirens is cheesy? I don't think anyone thinks Sad is cheesy.

I don't think Sirens is either. But I think it being on a b-sides album gave it more of a different feel. Both great songs though

No, maybe you don't, but a lot of people did find Sirens cheesy (I see what they mean too, although that is not what bothers me about Sirens). I definitely don't think that it would have fit well on Binaural though.... But I think the comparable LB song would have been be SBM if you're talking about finding a song on LB that doesn't necessarily work with the rest of the album.

I haven't heard anything from C'ville yet, but I have heard rave reviews, so will probably get the download since my membership renewal is coming up very soon so time to pick a free one. :) And what was the other East Coast one that everyone says was killer? Was it Hartford? Was that the one with Rats and Blood?

I m glad sad was a b side; for some reason I never got into this one at shows. As soon as they start playing it I m asking myself, ok what's next?
