Is anybody going to RW14 for Pearl Jam?

If someone attended previous editions of the festival with PJ, how were them? Would you recommend going there?

Many thanks in advance and happy new year!

My wife an I are going. Def waited for PJ to announce before we bought tickets, but had my eye on it because of the other acts.

It's supposed to be an awesome festival. Most people I know have said it's great. Most PJ fans (at least the ones posting on here) don't seem to like festivals because of the crowds, the booze, and the setlists.

Personally, I'm a pretty big fan of booze (to a point), I enjoy the camping and atmosphere, I like being at the front w/o having to wait in line, and I am not a song collector so the festi sets are OK with me.

Regarding past performancea, there was a past thread (only a month ago) where someone said PJ has never completely conected with the Belgian crowd. He said that the crowds arw generally full of huge PJ fans who know the catalogie well and wouldn't mind hearing some deeper cuts.
  • I went to Rock Werchter in 2012 to see PJ and had a great time! It was well run and saw tons of great bands. Met cool people from all over the world! I would highly recommend it!
I booked hotel next town over Leuven your tix gets free bus ride to and from.
I would book a room sooner than later!Leuven was way cool university town.

Many thanks...I can't book in advance as I am waiting for PJ to announce the US summer tour...If there is no US tour, probably I will go to RW...

I'm going with my hubby. He's not a big PJ fan and didn't want to go to other gigs, but he's very much into Metallica and as they are playing there too I managed to convince him quite easily ;) We have booked camping for the whole 4 days, as there are many cool bands playing. I'm already really looking to the summer 8-) Just have to buy a tent yet. :)
