Also, I was getting cutouts on pendulum on the LP (both the original and replacement), the 45 isn't giving me this issue.0

I distinctly remember that the first time I played the LB vinyl there was zero cutouts therefore avoided the whole mess of sending the photos of your record to get new one etc
It is (not it's) mind boggling that so many members have had issues with authenticated PJ merch - namely Sevens, scarf and LB Vinyl.
Sorry to hear your plight of LB vinyl but everyone I talk to loves to hear it spinning.0 -
well given that my best audio setup is hooked up to my turntable, the vinyl was still the most enjoyable to listen to even with the manufacturing anomalies. But i'm of the camp that CDs sound damn good and stand up to vinyls, I just don't own a solid CD player.0

Cds do sound damn good. So does vinyl. It is too bad that your first vinyl experience with Pearl Jam may have skewed yours and others views about vinyl0 -

Any chance we could have an adult conversation about the value of this set now? Not trying to start an argument or turn this into a "flippers suck" thread. I just think as a community, we could actually set a value that might make everyone happy.
Definitely not looking for the remark "$55+shipping, it's what you paid for it". I've seen a few guys in Lost Dogs get ripped for either asking too much, or not having enough to trade for this, so I figured I'd ask.
I for one, don't think it's reached Benny status, but I'll yield the floor to some of our experts. :corn: :corn: :corn:0 -

I think a first step would be to have a solid number as to how many were produced0 -

Considering they're not numbered, is there any way we could figure this out? I've seen the estimates of 500-1000, but those are just based on how fast it sold out.0 -

I just started a new thread for this specifically0 -

with all of the past "sold out" merch making its way to these "pop up shop" and art convention's merch orgies, i think it makes it pretty hard to judge how many were actually made... they are still selling Benny's for gods sake so who knows how many of these they have sitting around to sell at a massive future mark up?0 -

Most are $550 Buy Now on ebay. When the auctions start to reach that number because there are more bidders than listed Sevens, the Buy Now listings will get scooped up. Where the auctions then end up will be the new price. And it will rise from there as time goes by. Now on the contrary, if the auctions end at below the Buy Now prices then supply exceeds demand or the price is too high. So for these to reach Benny value they would need to creep up close to $1,000. I don't see that happening now, because there still are Buy Now listed far below that. If they get scooped up and all is left are auctions, Fthen anything goes. The crazy prices for The Fixer colored vinyl makes this all uncertain. I think if someone actually split up a box and listed them individually they could get enough money to buy a Benny from that. The Shadow 10" has 500 made and was sold out in a day?
The Mad Seasons was 500-1000 and sold out in a day?
Sevens was sold out in a few hours on a Sunday.
Nobody clamored for the Shadow 10", so it has a low resell price and is only 1 record.
Mad Season is dropping down now in price too. Black or white version.
Sevens is a neat little package of multi-colored vinyl.
My guess is no more than a few hundred were made and this will fetch $1000 real soon. That is gonna suck for the true fans that want one of these.
If they made 10% overage like the Bennys then you might see a few in a future pop up shop.
My $.020 -
You also have to figure in how many on eBay are from sellers who bought them on Amazon who according to the 10c will not get their orders. I know I've seen a few sellers with multiple copies who probably ordered several from Amazon and are still expecting them.
I think when/if people start getting their eBay auction pre-sells that they won cancelled because the seller couldn't get the set, then it could get more crazy. So far as most as I can tell 32 copies sold on eBay for $400+. Say just a faction of those don't come through, then you'll have more people willing to spend a lot of money back in the market for one.0 -
