Ed's shirts and DVD ramifications

Not to criticize Ed's style in any way but didn't he just wear like two shirts/outifits the whole tour? Part of me was like.. ok maybe its for when they do a dvd of this tour they can more easily swap out a bad version of a song or something with one from a different show. But on the other hand.. if they make it like touring band 2000 where they label all the cities of each performance... won't it just look like Ed never changes his clothes? So then I figured maybe they're not doing a dvd.

Thoughts on Ed's shirts and what that means for possible DVDs? Yes... I'm at work with absolutely nothing to do on the day after Christmas.

I had similar thoughts but the rest of the band didn't rotate the same few outfits. Only Eddie. It seems like a strange thing to do for a DVD release if only the singer is doing it.

That said...I do think we are getting a DVD release. Probably a "best of" compilation.

  • Sometimes I think what Ed wears on stage is more like a "costume". You see him.. the boots.. the flanel shirt, suitcase and you think Ed Vedder. I think his "about town" outfits are totally different and help him not to be recognized as easily. When he has been photographed out at a bar or something he's generally been in much nicer trendier clothes than the "grunge" costumes he wears on stage. It was more obvious when he had the longer hair. When photographed out he'd have the hair pulled back in a hat, real nice clothes on, and his beard trimmed very tight and not the shaggy thing it was when touring. I have no proof of this but it really does apear to be his strategy the last decade or so.

The man travels light, that's all... I highly doubt that wardrobe is discussed when it comes to dvd production.
    I ain't got no fly'n shoes..

Still convinced that the man has like 5-t shirts and 2 pairs of pants. Maybe 1 or 2 shirts :D
  • I am sure Eddie has a crew of people who hand wash his clothes every night…. or maybe he has more than one of the same shirt. Ed does pretty well for himself. :-)

Yeah maybe they are disposable. he just tells a roady... "Get me 50 tight short sleeve blue and white flannels" for the next couple months.

Grunge. More than two shirts for a tour would be selling out

  • Who cares....hes a man.....some men tend to wear the same clothes and own multiple copies of the same thing! Really I dont think it has any ramifications on dvds, life or world peace :)

do you see what his clothes go through on a nightly basis? Why ruin a bunch of different stuff, just wear the same few things until they fall off your body. :D

Yeah, but the thing is they aren't shredded to bits and I highly doubt he has hundreds of the same T shirts. Just my luck, I'm going to meet Eddie Vedder one day, and the one question I'm going to remember to ask him is, "How do you launder your T-shirts??"

I think this is just the usual for Ed.

"This tour's been about 6 weeks...I haven't washed my pants once. And you can probably guess how many pair I have...".

Philly gets the Rocky shirts ;)

If I could get away with it I would wear the same pants/shirt every other day and have them washed as needed.
