Dual member.
We need to stand strong to offset the hatred many spew towards DMB.
Evidence pointing to the notion that music is highly personal."My brain's a good brain!"0 -
Another dual member here. Currently spinning LT2 on vinyl. Sounds fantastic. What a great release.0
-
I'm a member of both although my wife really got me back into DMB after I spent a few years on hiatus. They lost me from about 2002 to 2009, but the recent stuff and current touring show is really amazing.0
-
Yeah I lost them for a few years as it got kind of stale for me but the release of the Live Trax on wax got me back into them. Anyone got an extra Live Trax 1? I scooped up 2 and 3 but shut out on 1.'08- Camden 1-2 '09- Chicago 2; Spectrum 1-4

I've been a fan for a long, long time, but didn't joing Warehouse until 2005, primarily to try to get (better) tickets.
But I let it expire last year, as I was tending to get better tickets from TM for DMB shows, and I never seemed to win the lottery for any Dave & Tim shows."McCready played on, lending credence to the theory that he was actually built in Stone’s basement from spare truck parts and vinyl records." - Glide Mag. review of MSG 7/8/030 -
Anyone got Live Trax 1? The black and opened is done even. I need to grab this to go with 2 and 3.'08- Camden 1-2 '09- Chicago 2; Spectrum 1-4

I've reserved a hotel in Wenatchee thinking the Gorge shows are happening again on the labour day weekend.
Is this a safe assumption? I tend to think it is almost assured."My brain's a good brain!"0 -
Me too! I've been in the WH since 2000.
PJ is my favorite. DMB is my second favorite.

not in the warehouse, but i do try to go to the alpine shows every year. thought away from the world was a return to form after 10+ years of mediocrity, and am not too excited that rob cavallo will be back for production, but will try to keep an open mind.

Awesome time there.
I hope andyslash is right and they are planning, once again, to do their thing there! And in 2015 for samjam (I'd be at that one too)!"My brain's a good brain!"0 -
Probably should have joined the warehouse back in the day, but same goes for 10club (didn't join until 2003). Saw them twice when they were touring stadiums in the late 90's, and again in 2007. Definitely saw a huge difference in their shows between those shows in the sense that the late 90's were more mainstream, while 2007 seemed to be less pop and more emphasis on blues, jazz, etc. I was impressed, but haven't seen them since.
Really enjoy the early Dave material, but haven't listened to most of their stuff since Before These Crowded Streets. Can anyone recommend which albums to hit up first?
Also, I have started to pick up some of their vinyl, but like pearl jam the old material is limited and pricey. What is a fair price for their vinyl? Would love to get ahold of the live trax sets, but they seem crazy expensive, especially for the colored vinyl.PJ:

Most of the early albums aren't available on vinyl. There are a few 45's. Before These Crowded Streets is the only one besides the latest 2 albums. BTCS goes for around $300. The last 2 you can get for $20ea. The Live Trax releases on vinyl are nice and you should be able to get the 2 & 3 black versions for close to face value. Volume 1, I'm not sure what that's going for.
Busted Stuff and Big Whiskey are my recommendations.Alright, alright, alright!

Thanks! What was the face value cost of the Live Trax Vinyl? Were the black versions through the DMB site priced different from the colored RSD sets?JK_Livin said:Most of the early albums aren't available on vinyl. There are a few 45's.
