I'm sure there's a thread like this somewhere but I searched and couldn't see one so.....

Which songs can you claim you were there for the first performance of?

I saw the first Smile in London in 1996
The first and so far only Hitchhiker in Manchester in 2012
The first and only cover of Brain Damage in London in 2010.
All my favourite singers have stolen all of my best lines.

    Saw the first and only Hitchhiker to date (Manchester 2012) and both of the only 2 performances of Sleeping By Myself (San Diego & LA 2013).

    It looks like some Backspacer was played elsewhere first. But I should add Gonna See My Friend, Amongst the Waves, and Unthought Known to my list. If you put my two lists together you'll have the Backspacer songs you saw first.

    It was much crazier to see songs first before the internet. I remember seeing Corduroy in 1994 and wondering what the hell was going on. Eddie on guitar? And Crown of Thorns was obviously special because I never thought I'd see that in a million years. Still gives me chills to listen to that boot.
