Phoenix had the best setlist in my opinion. However, I wasn't there to experience the energy of the crowd. Had a great time at the 3 shows I was at(Wrigley, OKC & SEA), and had they played the setlist as planned at Wrigley, that would have taken it(in my opinion).

Seattle's setlist left something to be desired. But before I am attacked for saying that, please remember that we all have our own opinions, favorite songs, and songs we want to see live.

While I was very thankful to be at all the shows I was able to attend, in future tours, I will be happy to take my chances at seeing my favorite songs(again, in my opinion) in another random city, preferably closer to home, other than Seattle. After following all of the setlists throughout the tour, the expectations for Seattle were set extremely, possibly unattainably, high by those on the Facebook threads I was following. And I'll take some of the blame on that as well. The expectations I should have set in my own mind, should have been set lower, or maybe none at all. Other than to expect a three hour rocking show from my favorite band. Lesson learned.

But every show that I've seen over the last few months, has left me wanting more. That's what's great about this band. I don't think I'll ever get sick of the excitement behind what's next from these guys. Until next time.....

what makes a great setlist? I'm not trying to be a smartass, but it seems every setlist makes somebody happy. With so many great songs, how can there be a bad setlist?

it is easy to work out

    1) look at all 25 setlists
    2) choose the setlist that hits a high %-age of your "want to hear songs"
    3) bang, there's your favorite ;)

I don't mean to pick on you, but you posted this before and I responded to it the same way:

Worcester 2 (aside from Other Side being played which was amazing) was by far the tamest setlist of the tour (and I was there). It had its moments and I had a great time at it, but even compared to the other 4 I saw it finished dead last in terms of over all show, setlist, energy and "wow" factor.

    BUT let me add:

I love the fact that it's possible to call a 29-song show on this tour "tame". That = an amazing tour any way you look at it.

i think by playin even flow every show it gives mike a chance 2 shred & just unleash. some of these jams are so fresh & raw. I'm glad even flow is a staple.

I wasn't there. Just look at the flow. Play the audio recordings in this row and hear how smooth the mixes are (if it happens to have a fade-out Winamp plug-in it works even better). Amazing. I like when PJ do that (which they do not do often). Another example for me is Vancouver 2009. I've listened to the bootleg and I cannot say that I liked it a lot, but the flow of the show gave me a nice feeling overall.

Because not everyone has seen PJ 50 times and if it was your first, potentially only PJ concert... wouldn't you want to hear it?

That show was incredible and I have been surprised to hear little about it on these boards. I think the recency of the second leg has made people forget about how great Leg 1 was. Also, Pendulum opening every night (besides 1) made Leg 1 seem more predictable, even though the sets changed significantly.

And it lets Mike shred for a while while Ed rests his voice.
