"Yellow Ledbetter" Dedication To My Son Beckett
It is with the deepest gratitude I would like to thank Pearl Jam for dedicating to my son Beckett, the last song of the night, "Yellow Ledbetter", (at his request), and presenting him with a tambourine!!
His first concert experience will be one he will never forget!! Where he asked me the question from the front row, "Dad is the whole world here"!!??
After many PJ fans said things like: "way to go Beckett" and "cool Beckett", he turned to me and said, "Dad I feel famous"...
He hasn't stopped singing, air-guitaring, and drumming since the Vancouver show!
For a six-year-old that would rather sing into the microphone end of a baseball bat, this concert-experience could be a game changer for him!
The band should also know that they have become immortalized in our living room, as his Star Wars figurines have become the respective members of the band! Simply Awesome!
Finally, Thank-you to "The Community of PJ Fans" that allowed my son to get right to the front for the encore!!
With love...Beckett Johnson, (and his Dad Jay)

Nice!
My first was Lollapalousa (sp?) at Thunderbird stadium with, (as u probably recall, an unreal crew of musicians)!!
Just saw a picture of the set list...Indiff crossed out and Y Led added in its place...Both unreal songs, but my boy doesn't know Indifference...Yet

I have to thank you and your son, because that was actually the first time I got YLB at a show! I'd already seen Indifference, and I was VERY happy to get what we did (Sorry Thirty Bills
). I was right behind you at the rail - Beckett was damn cute shaking that tambourine, and he looked really happy. Oh, and thank you for being considerate and sitting him on the rail and not keeping him on your shoulders.
I actually thought he was much younger than 6! I guess I have a faulty age gauge! Makes more sense... I was thinking he was two or something and was shocked that he could still be in a good mood at midnight. I actually briefly had a negative reaction just because I thought Beckett was so young (although either way, those feelings went away fast once I notice how cute and happy he was though).Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Wait a minute...
I was fine with everything right up to here.
You mean to tell me that I heard Yellow Ledbetter instead of Indifference because you guys gave Eddie a sign?
Good for you guys... not so much for me.

Yeah...Saw that on the amended set-list, where Eddie crossed out indifference
(unreal song)!
Selfishly speaking though, saw PJ and Ben Harper tear that song up back in 2009 in Van, I know u probably did too!
If not, Beckett apologizes, he was probably so cooked he wouldn't have noticed...Ha Ha!
I haven't done any drugs since 92, NA the whole deal...and man it was SOOO SKUNKY in that whole arena!
My wife and I discussed the whole 2nd-hand-smoke thing...I am certain my mother-in-law would be thrilled!!0
