Eddie's handwriting for a tattoo

Folks, I want to get the words "The fear goes away" in Eddie's handwriting as a tattoo. Problem is I can't find any "font" for Eddie online, although I have searched.

I've also read that the setlists aren't his handwriting - but I'm looking for something in that style. Maybe piece together letters from Setlists?

Thoughts?

  • lots of official release stuff has his handwriting. 10C mailers, liner notes to Touring Band DVD, parts of Vitalogy/Vs cd notes.

Or you could just go with his typewriter font. :)

    cheers
  • Have him hand write it on you:) wait for the right opportunity he would definatly do it. He would probably draw something for you as well.

  • talk to the tattoo artist about it

I think you should think long and hard about how long life is and how you may feel 20 years down the roard with that written on your body. If you dog that song, thats cool. But shit man, its just a song from a band.

Thanks man - I felt like writing a snarky remark back but re-read your post and felt different. I'm hoping it was honest advice, and not judgement.

The lyric means a lot to me as it symbolizes how the band and my family (which is the other part of the tattoo) equip me to deal with my borderline anxiety disorders.

    Here's a hint of it:

(ps. I know everyone thinks the stickman is overdone, but that's okay...)
I may even end up bailing on this idea, but it will be from fear of the process, not negativity towards the idea.

I'd like to offer the other side, which is to not over think it. No matter what idea you have for a tattoo someone will always offer the "will you still want that in twenty years?" comment. I don't know if you already have tattoos, but literally every thread or post I've seen about a tattoo contains someone else offering their judgement or "wisdom" about it.

Well, it's your life, and I assume you understand the ramifications of having a tattoo, so if you want it, go for it. If you end up hating it you can always just get more to distract from it

Sorry "Pushin Forward Back", not trying to talk about your comment like you're not in the room, just irks me that someone always needs to give their 2 cents about tattoos. This has been building :?

I did this. I used the Yield booklet and cut and pasted the letters together from the song titles. This is my post from the PJ Tattoos thread...

That's the nicest thing someone from Toronto has ever said to me!! ;)

Thanks - it's my first (and likely only) one, and the self doubt is evident without others doing it for me :)

    Cheers from Ottawa!

  • love it. and this is coming from someone who does not like Sirens!

I am almost 40. I'll be getting my first PJ tat soon. And yes, it will be the much-maligned stickman. I don't care. It means something to me and a tat is for me and no one else.

Not sure if I'll be doing any writing under or not, maybe I'll wait on that to see if something comes to me later. Like when I'm 60.

OP --- Go for it! I think it sounds great. Love the lyric and if has meaning to you than get it. I have not regretted any of mine at all including the "stickman". In fact I absolutely love it. Post a pic if/when you finish the tat.

Really? Why is that? Are people from Toronto pricks or something? I've been there plenty of times and it's almost annoying how friendly they are.

Anyway, yeah, fuck the "are you really going to want that 20 years from now?" question. I say don't over think it. Tattoos really aren't that big a deal, dude. Once he's about half-way done with this one, you'll most likely realize you want another because it's such an awesome feeling.

I just got it this summer and thats exactly how I felt. I'm now so happy with it. Its a symbol that has meant something significant to me for over 20 years of my life. Don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks of it.
